I'm looking to get back into RPing with a few new lines that I was bouncing around. Please comment here, or in my journal if you're interested. I prefer threading or email.
Line 1 He's a young, ambitious road warrior on his way to the top of the corporate world. Unfortunately, getting there means working the mid-level position which requires him to travel every week. Despite being young, he's wracked up elite status at a major hotel chain and gets treated like royalty anywhere he goes. His newest circuit requires him to come back to the same hotel every week and his routine is so set you could set your calendar by it. Check-in late Sunday night, check out Thursday afternoon to spend the weekend with his beautiful fiancee. By chance, he recognizes a book that the night clerk (who faithfully recognizes him every week) is reading which sparks a conversation. Slowly a relationship builds and the road warrior realizes he might be falling for the hotel clerk.
The genders could be switched, of course. A variation could also be a geekier guy (his job is something to do with programming, perhaps) and a hotter girl working at the hotel.
Line 2 Character A is a fresh graduate of a premier culinary institute in Europe and has come back to NYC looking to make a name for him/herself. Character A lands a job at one of the premier restaurants as a swing cook where Character B is the sous chef. Character B is straight-laced and unapproachable, but many of the other chefs turn to alcohol or drugs like cocaine to cope with the stress. Will Character A succumb to the allure of the drugs, sex, and rock and roll or will Character B intervene on behalf of the young talent?
Line 3 Character A is a young executive in a Fortune 500 company that her father is CEO of. She's the sort who lives life at a million miles a minute, sacrifices any sort of a personal life for her career, and refuses to be told what to do. But her life is turned upside down when her private jet crashes in a tragic accident. Character B works at the rehabilitation center and is kind, compassionate, and extremely good at his job. Character A tries desperately to fight against her rehabilitation track and the physical trainers who are looking after her, including Character B. Initially no one wants to work with the stubborn businesswoman, but somehow Character B finds a way to get through to the Alpha Female. Just as Character A gets used to her life without the stresses of work (and seeing Character B every day) and is starting to consider leaving it all behind, doctors find out that her father has cancer, which forces her back into the business world. What will she do?
Of course, the gender roles can be switched in this line as well.
I'm willing to play either character in all three of these roles. I apologize for cross-posting this a fair amount.
