Since the dawn of time they've been blamed for all of life's oddities. A strange noise? It must be a ghost. Pets mangled and eaten? Maybe a werewolf got them. That pale man that never ventures out in the day? A vampire, surely. Children behaving badly must be changelings, and that table had to have been forced into your path by a mischievous sprite, now giggling at your misfortune.
The list goes on. For each being, there are hundreds of tales, most pure delusion of course, though much of it based in fact.
From Nessie and Sasquatch to the Bermuda Triangle and the Land of Mu, our world is filled with the unattainable, the unexplainable... that which we call Myth, or Legend.
Yet, like the Will O' the Wisp, or the ghost breath that sends a shiver down your spine, the truth tugs softly at our conscience. Whispers in the dark of a boogeyman in the shadows, or a fairy spinning gossamer tales in the corners of your mind. They are real. And in so many ways... they are just like you. They work. They feed. They even have children. And just like humans, those children go to school.
School however, isn’t always as just classes and homework. Strange old castles often have far more lurking about them than is so readily apparent. Ancient curses have once been set loose on the school. Memory loss. Sickness. Power switching... Was it an accident? Or are more sinister plans afoot? Will it happen again? Here you just never know...

NO SUCH PLACE: An Original Fantasy RPG

During the 21st century, a global pandemic swept over the world. They dubbed it the “Pandora Virus,” calling it PV for short, because of its devastating nature. The virus tore through the world’s population, killing almost one-third of humanity in its first month alone. Countries everywhere grew panicked, believing it to be a work of biological terrorism. Nation stood against nation, and a worldwide war began. Much of earth was laid to waste within just a handful of months by the combined effects of nuclear war and the Pandora Virus. Survivors immune to the virus found the world uninhabitable, and many of them perished due to radiation poisoning or famine.
There were others, though. Others who inhabited this planet along with human beings, but they had been in hiding for many centuries. Praeternaturals. Legendary beings and creatures believed to be nothing more than myth. All of them were also biologically immune to the Pandora Virus. With the foresight of the oracle named Euryale, groups of praeternaturals learned of what was to come and prepared for the preordained onslaught. They built safe havens in hidden areas across the world protected heavily by magic and often shielded by mountains or large bodies of water. Taking in as many humans and praeternaturals alike as they could before the war, these communities provided a stable living environment for the survival of all species.
One such safe haven is an ancient land once inhabited by elves that was abandoned by them long ago. It has been renovated into a sanctuary and renamed to Elysium. Located in the modern-day Republic of Macedonia near Lake Ohrid, it was once a part of Greece.
Now, it is a part of the process to one day rebuild the world. |
Game Objective. No Such Place is an action-oriented drama catering to various genres. Though the setting is fantasy, this is merely to incorporate more aspects of game play and further possibilities beyond the realm of the real world. Whether you prefer action, drama, romance, or horror — this game allows you to play all and pick your favorite to explore. We actively incorporate various game-wide plots that involve everyone in one way or another. Your objective is to create your own story. However, beware the setting. Everything affects everything, and like a domino effect, No Such Place will affect every character and player with things beyond their control.

unexpectedrpg is a brand new AU Harry Potter role play for those who are tired of the same old drive toward war torn Britain. With Voldemort dead and his Death Eaters scattered to the winds, Kingsley Shaklebolt had stepped out of the ashes as a leader to bring the Wizarding world back to the proud position it had once held.
No one had expected what he was about to do.
For three years Kingsley led the way in the reconstruction of wizarding society, but his mind was not as sound as he would have the world believe. For him there were two main issues that prevent the community from fully healing: low population and the dislike between those of pure and mixed blood. Kingsley fully believed that by correcting these issues he would be creating the perfect society. It was this desire of perfection that led to the introduction of the Kinglsey's marriage and family planning legislation.
As of January 1st, 2002 the Decree of Marriage and Family Planning took effect. All unmarried citizens of legal age are now required to register their marital status with the Ministry as of their seventeenth birthday. Those who do not apply by the new laws are considered social terrorists. The cells of Azkaban now have new attendents. Those who do register in accordance with the decree can expect an official letter stating the time and place of their wedding, as well as the Ministry approved match. With the legislation all marriages are now a matter of Ministry approval.

Shadow Kingdom - A Dark Disney RPG

Many, many years ago, when the Animation World was still new, there was a magical quill that was constructed to bring 2D creations to life; a quill that brought ink and paper to flesh and blood. It soon came to be in the hands of the infamous Walt Disney and with it, he created Mickey Mouse, and an onslaught of characters. As he grew older, he knew that he wouldn't live forever, and gave his animators similar pens, but with less power. Only his pen could not only create, but it could destroy as well once a character came to life. When he passed, his team of creative animators, commonly known as the Nine Old Men, locked away the Master Quill and put a powerful spell on the container so that no one would be able to open it unless they had the power of sixteen forces, which combined, create the Rainbow Key. The nine of them split the sixteen forces, giving some power to commonly known characters from Disney history, and the rest to uncommon characters, to give to an heir when the time was right. Currently, there are sixteen girls who hold the powers: Minnie Mouse with the power of love, Snow White with the power of ice, Cinderella with the power of glass, Aurora with the power of gold, Ariel with the power of shell, Belle with the power of blossoms, Jasmine with the power of sand, Alice with the power of alabaster, Wendy with the power of dust, Elionwy with the power of illumination, Jane with the power of papyrus, Kida with the power of crystal, Meg with the power of bronze, Pocahontas with the power of wood, Mulan with the power of bamboo, and Esmeralda with the power of silver.
The characters that roam around the parks are not, as some people choose to believe, people in costumes. They live and belong to a second world, where characters and cast members live in harmony, called Shadow Kingdom. It is called Shadow Kingdom, simply because it is a shadow of the Real World. In Shadow Kingdom, time moves differently, and the characters are given about a day's rest in-between the hours of the Real World, where the parks are closed. In every land, every kingdom, every country, every town, there is a portal that transports the characters and other cast members from their homes to the tunnels of the parks. When a new member of the Real World decides to join the employment of the Disney company, they are granted a new home in the Shadow Kingdom with a portal that leads to their work location.
Currently, there is a Darkness in Shadow Kingdom, and it's planning on destroying the happy civilization that was so cleverly created and taking control of the parks in the Real World. It wants to turn a world of happiness and dreams into a world of chaos and nightmares. It's planning on recruiting Disney Villains (both alive and dead) from the past Disney movies to help it on its quest to find the sixteen forces. With the Rainbow Key, it will open the chest that is home to the Master Quill and will create havoc and destroy the characters we have come to know and love.
But Mickey Mouse will not stand for it. He has discovered the Darkness and its plan and is recruiting his own army out of friends, neighbors, heros and sidekicks, but the Darkness preys on the weak of heart, and can turn them against their friends.
What's Mickey Mouse to do if the Darkness gets its hands on the Master's Quill? Join the game, tune in, and find out for yourself.
