Neo Genesis RPG [28 Feb 2009|12:17am]

With the HIV pandemic come and gone, the global population faces another risk: global infertility. Irregardless of nationality, ethnicity, lifestyle or life regimen, no children have been born anywhere on the planet in the past fifteen years. Panic abounds. Extremist governments come to power in most countries. The whisper of a cure becomes a chant and soon rumors become reality.

The United States government announces a treatment that can restore fertility among its people. However, fertility comes at a cost. Legislation has quickly been passed. The treatment will only be administered under certain conditions. An individual must be in good health, between the ages of 16-50, and married. Furthermore, participation for all eligible individuals is not optional. Unmarried individuals of age will be listed in a lottery, and married with the intent to start a family.

Institutions have been erected. Before all matched couples are sent into their forced cohabitation, they are required to spend time together in government sanctioned counseling centers. Once each month they are required to undergo the fertility treatment, and they are expected to produce a child. Failure for one or both to do so will result in imprisonment until they comply.

Neo Genesis is an arranged marriage RPG set in a universe parallel to our own. We welcome all characters and storylines within the realm of reason. For more information, please consult the timeline here and the FAQ here.

Welcome to the Death Eater Reform Project, a AU Post-Hogwarts, non-Epilogue compliant game.

The year is 1999, a year after the end of the Second War. Lord Voldemort is dead, killed by Harry Potter, the Wizarding World’s Hero. But there has been no rest for those in the Ministery. With Kingsley Shacklebolt the newly elected Minister, the Aurors are busier than ever, hunting down the remnants of the Death Eaters. The ones they catch are quickly filling the cells in Azkaban, which makes the already nervous populace even more so. With Dementors no longer guarding the Wizarding prison, fear of Death Eaters escaping runs high.

That is when Minister Shacklebolt is approached by a young woman, a Seer with a plan of action. She proposes a melding of good and evil through marriage, a way to reform the Death Eaters into people acceptable by today’s society. She explains to him the hardships all will face in the beginning of the plans implementation, but she also explains the benefits that will come about.

The Death Eater Reform Project is then adopted, an article in the Daily Prophet detailing the specifics of the project, explaining their reasoning behind it. Their hopes of creating a better world by having the people themselves reform the Death Eaters. The response to this is mixed, with opposition the majority. Not even the offer of compensation through money could do much to make the populace more receptive. But the Minister and his Seer stand steadfast, waiting the storm out and hoping that fate will not twist and turn the Seer’s future into yet another war.

Ever wondered what the lives of the chosen ones are really like? Well, I'm going to tell you, because I'm one of them. I'm not talking about beautiful models or actors or musical prodigies or mathematical geniuses. I'm talking about the people who are born to it- those of us who have everything anyone could possibly wish for and who take it all completely for granted.

Welcome to New York City's Upper East Side, where my friends and I live and go to school and play and sleep- sometimes with each other. We all live in huge apartments with our own bedrooms and bathrooms and phone lines. We have unlimited access to money and booze and whatever else we want, and out parents are rarely home, so we have a ton of privacy. We're smart, we've inherited classic good looks, we wear fantastic clothes, and we know how to party. Our shit still stinks, but you can't smell it because the bathroom is sprayed hourly by the maid with a refreshing scent made exclusively for us by French perfumers.

It's a luxe life, but someone's got to live it.

XOXO is an RPG set in the world of Gossip Girl. Here, you can play as your favorite character and enjoy the scandalous world in the Upper East Side.

The game begins after the events in episode 2x12, "It's A Wonderful Lie". The Snowflake Ball ended with a smash - literally. Serena attends the Ball with her artist boyfriend, Aaron Rose, but she begins to question her relationship with him when Dan and Lexi, Aaron's ex-girlfriend, go to the Ball together. Chuck and Blair try to match each other up with the perfect date, but things don't go as planned. Vanessa and Nate's relationship becomes public knowledge, and Little J isn't too happy about it. Lily and Rufus come to terms with something that's been bothering them for the past 20 years, but will the death of Bart Bass put a damper on things, or just make them easier? Now you can decide.

The Field: A Game Of Survival [28 Feb 2009|11:04am]
Have you ever imagined what it would be like to wake up one morning and be completely lost?

Imagine that you go to sleep one night and wake up the next morning not where you were supposed to be. All that you have with you is the clothes you were wearing when you fell asleep and perhaps your pillow or blanket, if you are lucky. Confused, you lift your head up to see that it is a beautiful morning. Not a cloud in the sky and the sun is already dazzling. As you clear the sleep from your eyes, certain things start to stand out. You are alone, in a vast field. There is a gentle breeze blowing through the grass. The purple grass. You've never seen grass like that before and as you blink through the bright, nearly white light of the sun you notice the treeline and think that you've never seen trees and vegitation quite like that before either. In a panic you jump up, you run. You run and run and maybe even call out. Call for help. The only thing that answers is the rustle of small animals in the brush, the scatter of brightly coloured birds unlike any you've ever seen before.

Before long you tire yourself out. You keep moving until you are exhausted, you give in to fear. Maybe even sit down to cry. This gives you time to think. How did this happen to you? What happened last night? How did you end up in this strange, strange place so far from home? Unfortunately, nothing at all comes to you. It isn't until that strange white sun starts to sink below the trees that you hear them. In the distance, a strange laughing. No, it's not laughing but it is some kind of animal call. They are large, and there are more than a couple of them. They are moving your way, following the scent of your sweat, you're fear.

The only thing that you know then is that whatever they are, you don't want them to find you.

And then: "Hey," someone says from the brush, barely a whisper. "Hey, over here."

You look and find the face of someone just as dirty, clad in pajamas and wearing a lap blanket like a cape over their shoulders. It's dirty as well. They gesture for you to follow and more than anything else, you are so relieved. You've been found, and whatever has happened, at least you aren't alone anymore.

The Field is a game that explores how a group deals with fear, most especially fear of the unknown. It's a game of survivalism starring every likely and unlikely type of person imaginable. Terror, sadness, joy and possibly even friendship and pride are possible in this game. There are no frills and flashy graphics here, just solid storytelling, drama and explorations into character development.

Stripped of their rights, fitted with collars and powers suppressed until their matches, life on Revolve is difficult and rigid. Their days are spent training for fights, working at the island's amusement park or dreaming of some day earning the outrageous sum of money with which to buy their freedom.

What would you do? Would you play the game? Fight the system? Start a revolution? Plot your escape?
The future of mutantkind rests in your hands.

It's the year 2109 and one hundred years has past since Bella and Edward tied the knot and a lot has changed. Jacob and Nessie moved to Juno to live together and for Nessie to go to school. Bella and Edward went to live with the African tribe for a while. Esme, Carlisle, Alice and Jasper went to stay with Tanya’s coven while Rosalie and Emmet went to Europe on their own adventure.

Longing for each others companionship once more they return to Forks to their home to hopefully live in peace for a few years but that is shattered once Rose and Emmet return with a redhaired child who could not be more then ten. Her name is Arial and she was sired by Rosalie.

How long until the new pups arrive to threaten the treaty? How long until the Volturi come in to break up their happy little coven?

WANTED: EDWARD CULLEN!! Please, we really need him and are willing to forgo the writing sample.

regaling [28 Feb 2009|03:44pm]

REOPENING 28TH FEB OR AFTER FIRST 10 APPS

Regaling is a cursed kingdom. Inside, there are castles towering to the sky, enchanted forests, and a host of magical creatures, but despite all of that, the kingdom is still cursed. Not just the kingdom as a whole; every single inhabitant of Regaling is born with their own curse. Some are meant to be broken, others will remain unbreakable.
Regaling is one giant fairy tale. Your character will be the hero of their story, a victim in another, a love interest in the next, and maybe a villain in all the rest.

Regaling is an AU multifandom animanga, book/movie, and video game role-play with a heavy importance on character development and humor with hi-jinks!!1! versus a complicated plot. The game is set up in a loose way in the hopes that characters will be able to make the game develop without having very much set in stone. It is designed in the form of a kingdom of fairy tales, with each character assuming a role in their own story and inevitably affecting the other stories around them. The Kingdom of Regaling itself is under a curse that includes curse days, during which the majority of Regaling's inhabitants will suffer from the same basic curse. It could, for example, be a day when everyone switches curses, or maybe forgets about the person they hold the most important to them. However, on the normal days (and I'm using "normal" lightly here~) each character must live with their own curse. As part of Regaling's curse, each person who enters the Kingdom of Regaling, be it by birth or travel, will have a curse placed upon them. The curse is theirs alone and, if they are lucky enough, they will find a way to break it.

Unfortunately, being the emo kingdom that it is, Regaling's troubles do not end with curses. No, Regaling also suffers from even more supernatural forces fighting against it. Dragons enjoy snatching up princesses, the mountains are home to god-knows-what but they're awfully loud at night, and no one is quite sure of when the next plague will hit.

Fairy tales might have happy endings but no one ever said it was easy getting there or that it had to end happily ever after after all~ ♥
