at night, everywhere || de noche, en todos lados
[Tonight, you might've been already asleep, comfortable in your own bed (or coffin - we don't judge). Or maybe you were staying up late, busy with various things or simply hanging out for a while. Either way, you'll now find yourself asleep, in a bed. A bed that might not be your own. It might be an abandoned bed in one of the many empty hotel rooms, varying in comfort levels, or even in a room at the Crimson Keep, if you're unlucky enough.

And of course, you'll have company. People will pair up in beds across the world, to wake up next to friends and strangers alike. A perfect way to start up a conversation, wouldn't you say? Which you'll have to do, as the world's magic won't let either of you leave the bed until you've at least chatted for a while. It's all about interactions here, and you can't just leave your bed companion to be bored during the time spent with you. It's simple manners, okay. And to help things along, you might find that bowls with snacks appear, ready to be shared by the two people in the bed. It's like your own mini pijama party of two.]

[[Bed ninja event! Pair up and be as awkward or as flirty as you'd like. || EN ESPAÑOL. ¡Post de camas! Emparéjense y sean tan awkward o flirty como quieran.]]

[Okay, that does the trick, and she's opening her eyes, startled by the voice. It takes her just a second to realize it was a real voice, and the next thing is she's turning fast to try to elbow you in the stomach, and get you into an arm lock if possible.]

[He may have guessed he'd get a startled reaction but her move is quick and effective enough he barely has a moment to choke from the blow to his gut and caught out in the next breath. Hh?!]

Let -- go, I'm not the one responsible for this.

Then who is it?! [She demands, pushing you against the matress, still keeping you in the arm lock.]

Was it Silco? Did he send you?

[Grunts, muffled into the bed and a very tense beat passes where he doesn't immediately struggle in her grip, if only to bide his time for a better opening to attack back if she doesn't relent.]

Am I supposed to know what crazed nonsense you're on?

The only thing sending anyone around is the magic that brought you to this room. Whatever "Silco" is supposed to be, I have no knowledge of it.

[She catches your emphasis about the room, and it makes her steal a glance around and... notice that indeed this is not her room.]

What...? [She mutters to herself, wondering if she has been kidnapped, and the surprise and confusion might make her lose a bit of the strength on her hold.j

[The room itself as she looks isn't particularly well-lived in, sparse in most ways that it might almost seem like it was vacant before now, save for some scattered books and a grey attaché case lying beside a desk, labeled with a single black letter A across the front.

But because Akechi is who he is, the most important things in his room are out plain sight: namely, the moment he feels some leeway on her part, he positions his to allow him to move in the opposite direction of her hold. And although she may have had his right arm incapacitated, his left is all he needs - shoving her away hard as he can with the rest of his body, his arm be damned. With his left, he retrieves his police gun tucked under the mattress and turns to aim it squarely at her, no hint of any lack in handedness.]

Back up. Now. Come at me again and I'll fire.

[They may have little room to work with on the bed but he's already putting his distance too after shoving her to the opposite end, backing up against the headboard, watching her like a hawk.]

[She's very observing, and quickly takes all that information in. The letter 'A' on that case particularly catches her eye, and she rapidly tries to remember any name of significance to her investigation that started with that initial-- but she doesn't get that far, because the feeling of your hand slipping of her grip brings her attention back to it.

She tries to stop it and reaccomodate her hold to answer with a different lock, but it's too late, and the body slam does topple her back with a choked cry. She hurries to get back on her knees and hands, and fight with you for control-- but the gun is a good deterrent, and she stops dead in her place. Because she recognises the look on your face. You are not one to hold back a shot if you have a clear opportunity... much like she wouldn't either.

Her right hand twitches, missing the weight and shape of her own rifle, but tries nothing more, very aware of her disadvantage now. She lifts her hands slowly, and when she talks again, it's slower, adding a reasonable tone to it.]

You don't want to do that. I'm an enforcer. [Pauses, but then recluctantly adds:] And a Kiramman. If you shoot me, there'll be consequences.

[It doesn't sound like a threat, just like a fact. It's better if you cooperate.]

[He's satisfied to see that even under these circumstances she appears to be possible to reason with. That's one less headache to deal with. Akechi decides to keep a calm tone in turn, showing none of the anxiousness that a cornered criminal would in his shoes, much as his firearm remains firmly pointed.

There is absolutely no visible recognition on his part at any of the terms she uses, though, despite the weight she clearly is putting to their meaning.]

I'd rather hazard my chances at a self-defense plea, unless 'enforcer' happens to mean free reign to attack civilians at your whim.

[Ha ha...]

That aside, I'm still willing to give a rundown of our current predicament - provided you've calmed down enough to listen. Whether you believe it after that is up to you.

[Oh, she's quite reasonable. Except when she's falling down the rabbit hole of fascism, but that's a story for another time.]

Of course not. [Her back straigthens a bit at that accusation-- because she is very aware that many enforcers do abuse their power, but she's still a very passionate believer that an enforcer's job should be solely to protect civilians. It is the reason why she became one.]

But a second ago I believed you had broken into my room, so the same could be said about me. [Self-defense plea, and all that.] I see now that's not the case. I don't recognise this place. Do you?
