[WELCOME TO RAINBOW BRIDGE!


That's the first you hear, once you walk into this world. It's easy to see the reason for the name, having just crossed a bridge lit up in all the colors of the rainbow.

Whether you're from a different magical world, or consider the concept of magic a silly thing from movies and games, you'll still receive the proper welcome, and everything that comes with it - some information about this country, a map, directions, and explanations as to how there should be a residents list, but it seems empty at the moment.

But it doesn't end there! It's not just that you're now visiting a magical country with plenty of sights to see and places to explore, with different towns and cities, long roads across swamps, dunes and a large lake, even creepy castles by some cliffs and the dangerous forests surrounding them. No, this week they're also celebrating the arrival of Spring!



While some of the areas are naturally flowery and pretty (like EverGreen Town), it'll all still be noticeably decorated for the date, with flower garlands and bouquets everywhere, flower petals falling around and the perfume of flowers in the air, while NPC travelers will have flowery-patterned clothes, flowers in their hair or hats, and so on. Carriages taking you from place to place might be decorated as well, or you might spot horses with pretty arrangements in their manes.

You'll also be able to find seasonal treats at places like the bakery and the big community kitchen at Sunset Village, or the restaurants at Tourmaline City, or find cute colorful outfits at their clothing shops.

EverGreen Town will be thriving, with big sales on herbs, all sorts of spices, wines and ingredients, and obviously flowers, plants and decorations made with them. The plaza will be full of vendors but also people playing music and dancing through the days - a rare time for those in this town to be a little louder and outgoing.

Even at places like the creepy Crimson Keeps, you might be able to find rare treasure in the form of flower-shaped gems and jewellery!


So it's definitely not a bad time to arrive here - surely that initial confusion and outrage at being separated from your home or loved ones will go away much faster while you join the celebrations, right? Who can stay mad or anxious while wearing a freshly made flower crown?]]

[Well, you could count your attempt at distracting him as a success, since all there is left in his expression now is exasperation.] Of course there is, it's literally in the law! And my mother is still dead, so will you give it a fucking rest already?

[He rubs one of his temples a little and sighs. He can't decide if their current situation is better, or worse.] Well, still doesn't feel like a great reassurance. [Because the question still remains, where the fuck were they? Though he does relax a little bit now that the clown is apparently out of the picture.]

Oh shit, dude, she's dead? And you didn't invite me to her funeral? I would've given the best eulogy. So many moments we shared together.

And what? Having you making extremely inappropriate jokes every five minutes? I think I was already miserable enough at it was, thank you. [This makes him consider it a bit. Had he been really? Felt miserable? Well, he had felt sad for sure, but he also cannot help but remember just how utterly relieved he had felt after the whole ordeal was over. Was that a horrible thing to think about all of the sudden?]

Hey, what's that supposed to mean? [He let's out a huff and looks around for a bit, he still has trouble warping his mind around the whole meaning of actually being in another world bit. It makes him feel delirious and like he's about to lose his mind and not in a good way, so he involuntarily takes a step closer to you because you make him feel grounded in this whole craziness.] So, what now? Should we try to find the others?

[Considering what he's been remembering about your mother, he wouldn't judge you for feeling relieved. Maybe that's another reason to not feel bad about cracking those kind of jokes, too. It's like getting back at her for making you have a bad time when you were young. Which is a weird thought to have about someone he didn't remember that existed a week ago. Add that to the list.]

Maybe we should find a place to stay first. Not to make you freak out and start crying, but it kind of looks like we're going to be here for a while.

[He notices that you got closer to him and it makes him feel... protective, for some reason. Like despite all the jokes and teasing, he has to plan what to do next. Try to be logical. Damn it, it'd be easier if the others were around.

But... He's honestly glad that, if he had to be stuck here with anyone in this world, at least it's with you.]

Fuck you, I wasn't going to cry about it. [Because maybe he was going to freak out. Just a little bit.] And we don't even have any of our stuff here for a long stay. Are we really going to go around wearing the same clothes for an indeterminate number of days?

[He can't help but think wistfully of his toiletry bag, forgotten on that shitty hotel room. He knew he should've never stopped wearing fanny packs, no matter what everyone
else had to say. At least he would had had the essentials with him right this moment. Which reminded him...] Okay, no, we need to find a pharmacy or some kind of fucking hospital on this place first. I need my inhaler.

But there's something that stops him, a flash in his memory that makes his stomach turn unpleasantly. In the end he just huffs again.] You don't know that, besides it's better to be safe than sorry. [He wrings his hands together a little as he frowns, latching into the first thing he could think of to distract himself, leaving whatever that had been for later to think about. Gross. No, thank you. I'd rather not find out. [His expression remains and in the end he just rolls his eyes in exasperation. Somehow he has his doubts about the not-getting-a-rash declaration, but it isn't like he wants to inquire about it because just ew.]

You're making that up, and I distinctly remember seeing at least one bee. [Probably. Whatever, he wasn't going to take any chances.] We should probably get an EpiPen at the hospital or whatever while we're at it.

That's just ridiculous. Why wouldn't they sell clothes? It's literally one of the basic human necessities, and I don't see anyone running around naked. [Thank God.] And if we aren't going to get provided with at least the bare minimum, I will find somewhere to submit a complaint. [Because whoever is behind this interdimensional travelling fuckery better take responsibility.]

I know what I saw. [He lets out an indignant huff. And okay, maybe he's not 100% sure anymore, but he isn't going to admit it.] Either way, I'd rather be prepared for any eventuality.

To be fair, forty-eight hours I actually didn't, but well here we are. [He has to hold back a relieved sigh once you finally agree to keep him company, because he would have definitely ended storming off by himself otherwise, but he's glad he doesn't have to. He'd rather not be alone right now.]

Okay so, did you get a map of the place or something? If not, we should probably ask for directions first. [Instead of just randomly wandering off and get lost.]

Of course I know how to. [He learned as a kid after all; and for a second he lets himself wonder exactly when he had done so, resulting in his mind quickly providing him with an image of a crowded group of boys around a wrinkled map extended on the floor of a neatly kept bedroom with a compass resting on one of its corners, while a boy with curly hair points at different parts of it.]

[He blinks and the image is gone, so he just shakes his head and sighs.] You just have to identify the buildings nearby and orient yourself. [And he does just that, looking around and at the map for a moment before finally pointing at some direction.] It's over here.

[When he sees you looking at the map, he gets a similar memory back. Although he remembers that he was always finding excuses to stand next to you, as close as possible. Maybe even having their shoulders touch, once or twice. Ugh, was he really like that as a kid? He feels embarassed remembering that.
