[A few days after the unusual cold wave, the summer starts to make it’s comeback. Lately it’s been a lot hotter so staying by the beach seems like a good idea to make it through the day– and part of the night too, because even then the temperatures don’t leave a reprieve.

This night, though, it’ll be a little different. As soon as it gets dark, it’ll be noticeable that the sea doesn’t look the same as always.

Any movement on the water, be it the waves or fishes or people stepping in, will make the water shine. Even those who might be wary of it at first might soon notice that it appears to be quite harmless. Maybe it’s some kind of magic that keeps this warm night filled with light, maybe it’s some kind of strange lifeform in the water itself. Either way, it makes for a beautiful sight.

Once the night has settled, some small clouds begin to gather. It’s just a drizzle, not enough to push people back inside, but it’s enough to make the sea light up even further.]

[Forget plunging a hand in - not so far ahead in the distance, Sandalphon is full on standing in the water up to his waist already, the glowing flow passing through his fingers too but also clinging to him all over from seemingly swimming around in the midst of it for a while now. His hair has little specks of the light, it clings to his wet clothes and face... He seems thoughtful, perhaps a bit lost in thought, but otherwise is not negatively affected by the water.

Of course, looking back and seeing there's someone nearby, snaps him out of his thoughtful daze somewhat.]

- Oh. [Uhh. Maybe it's a good thing the pretty blue lights don't make his face look too red in the night.] How long... I didn't think someone else would be here.

Something like this... is it.

[He ponders the words, water still passing through his fingers absently. It's difficult somehow to put into words what exactly pulled him here, finding the concept of magic a little different than what he felt.]

You could call it a connection to the elements, more than anything. Whether there is magic at work, I couldn't fully say... however, the light here is something I'm attuned well to.

[Not far away from the shore, in the docks area, there's a ship. A very small one, or at least it would seem so to the people who doesn't know the magic (and living) nature of it.

But what's important here is that on the deck of said boat, there's this woman, contemplating the shiny waters with a drink in hand. And she sees that scene of you wet and shiny, and she likes. So that's what her whistling was about.]

Well, I got lucky, it seems.

[The concept of a living ship isn't entirely unfamiliar to him, if perhaps in a different context to the way things work in his own world. Being here has been a learning process in that sense... everything so different to the Skyrealm and yet not entirely so either.

The whistling is really what does indeed get his attention though, turning his head your way, a little like he's snapped out of a long deep thought.]
