Ever since Graham's correspondence with his ex-girlfriend, he had been preparing for Friday. He knew exactly what needed to be done. He would have to humble himself enough to lay things on the line for Julia if he wanted to chance winning her over again. For that reason he chose Friday to meet with her. Not only would it allow for as much time as necessary, what with Saturday just around the corner; it also would show the girl she meant enough to him to skive off Quidditch practises for. Desperate times call for desperate measures after all! If his mum had caught wind of this plan, she would have been livid. Josephine Elkins was a professional Quidditch player, so it occupied a huge part of her mind. Fortunately for the twins, Calum Elkins took up a larger portion. Graham's father would easily be able to sway Josie if, for one reason or another, she found out what her child had done.
Graham hardly had a concern in the world at that point, save for making Julia happy. He wasn't the type of bloke one challenged. Challenges to the Elkins twins were more or less a constant state of mind. What was the worse that could come of being daring? Nothing he hadn't come face to face with yet, that much was certain! That alone, the twins' plan was fool-proof. Rory Spinnet would stand in as Graham at Quidditch practise, compliments of a storage of Polyjuice Potion made by the terrible duo themselves. What would be their excuse for Graham's lack of skill on the pitch that afternoon? Simple. He was still fighting off a cold. It would just make sense considering the twins slipped up to the hospital wing earlier that week to partake in the Babbling Brew. Sure Graham wasn't sick at that point, but being surrounded by all those infected students certainly had to take its toll eventually right? Thomas would have to be beside himself simply at the fact Graham was attempting to play in his weakened state! Rory, meanwhile, would have to try his best to play up those skills as an actor, his role being Graham Elkins: class clown, twin, and Quidditch Beater. It was nothing out of his range of expertise.
Busying himself programing a few songs into the recently tuned enchanted piano, Graham skipped out on dinner to make arrangements. He didn't want to chance Julia beating him to Classroom 11. There was that concern and also the added bonus of Thomas Wood believing the twins' charade. He had lived next to the kitchens long enough to know how to swindle a bit of spare food from the house elves anyway. Said food, mostly of the finger food variety, now sat upon the back of the piano while Graham fine-tuned a few things. He didn't decorate the classroom for the sake of simplicity. He didn't want to turn Julia off by making it seem too much of a performance. To allow for a bit of ambiance, however, he went ahead and left the lighting to the candlelight. Save for the candles, piano, food, and Graham, the unused classroom was vacant. The piano was playing softly in the background as Graham sat patiently upon the piano bench. The door to the classroom was closed, as was usual, in order to prevent any students from suspecting. Once Julia made her appearance, he would see to it anyone on the outside couldn't barge in. After all, he didn't want to risk his cover being blown and their time being cut short.
