Julia had been thinking about her meeting with Graham all day. She wasn’t exactly sure what he had in mind, but she knew they had to talk. The whole reason they had broken up in the first place was that she had let her worries and problems go unspoken about for so long, that when they finally did come out... well, it hadn’t gone well. There had been a huge fight, completely at odds with both their characters, and Julia had broken up with him. If they were going to date again, which Julia suspected was Graham’s intention, they needed to get those things sorted out first. Her heart couldn’t take a repeat of last spring.
Despite talk of dancing, hopefully he would be willing to sit down and listen to her. She thought a lot about this through supper. She thought about what she wanted to say and how she thought he would respond. She thought about her ultimatums. Either he changed this and that or she wouldn’t, couldn’t be with him again. She thought about what he would say, how he would respond to her accusations. Julia wanted to make sure she had everything covered, everything thought of before she entered that classroom.
Unfortunately for her, an enchanted piano and candlelight was not at all what she had expected to find. It caught her off guard. She hadn’t planned for this so she had nothing to say. “I... Uh...” She stuttered. Julia Fenwick never stuttered. She was always in control of herself. Except, it seemed, where Graham was concerned. “What’s going on?”
