Right. This is like blogging, isn't it. Just spilling out words onto a tablet and wondering what the Hell is going on. Where am I. Where is my wife! Where is LONDON for fuck's sake. What is wrong with the money here? Where's Sherlock?

And where is there a lavatory because I really need to piss.

I've had quite a bit excitement in my life the past... oh.. fifteen or twenty years. I was actually looking forward to a boring life with my wife and daughter and my lunatic best friend. But instead I find myself misplaced in the universe, apparently, in some sort of American town. I have no idea what this means or what's going to happen, or what this will do to my daughter's status as a British citizen. So if I want to muddle through and make do, then that, my friend, is EXACTLY what I will do.

You hold this American town in such contempt. What's the big beeswax about citizenship? I never looked up the laws, but I figure British + British = British. You could go for a two for one special, British American. You're wired so tight, don't burst, friend.

My husband makes a valid point. This is a supernatural occurrence that is beyond our control. We are not even allowed to leave, not even allowed to make fundamental decisions about the future of our child. Should we wish to send our daughter to a fine British school, we will not be able to. Should we wish to expose her to British culture, we will not be able to. I, more than most, understand the need for sacrifice when circumstances are beyond our control and that things rarely turn out the way you plan. However, I feel as though we should at least be given an explanation for what is happening. Pride may be a sin, but if it is a sin to be proud of Great Britain, then take us to the gallows.

Yawn. So negative. If you cannot raise her British enough, that's your problem, queenie. You have more than most the world's girls' get and more choices. But please, the gallows are so boring and so final. And who hangs pregnant women? I should have a talk with them.

And criticizing a person's personality is not negativity? It is true we have more choices and more opportunities than most, which is something I am grateful for. However, should we be content with it? Should we not fight for more? Isn't life about elevating oneself to be better? About striving for greatness? Or is boring and easy the way to go these days? And while I appreciate your opinions on the matter, you are indeed correct, sir. This is my problem. Mine and my husband's.

Not yours. Do have a blessed day.

When they're flashing it in public, that's commentary. Life is about living. Which means curveballs and all.

I don't think ol' god is listening. But thanks.

I find it comforting to know we all have the right to be negative, even if it is in commentary. There are no curveballs in life, only in baseball.

You're living in the states. Learn some new metaphors.

Metaphors are for those who can't handle reality. And that metaphor isn't new nor did I just learn it.

Oh ho, I love it when people insult me like it's the first time. It's so cute and adorable, little penguin.

It was merely a general statement, though I suppose I can't stop you from believing it applies to yourself.

Please, Mary Mary, making "general statements" to people who just did something to get lumped in there? You're cleverer than that.
