Damon glanced over at Katherine, not saying anything, he just watched as she happily sat back and enjoyed the drive. “I knew that was coming.” She had asked him before to compel her a car, but then they had their little argument and the thought of it all went out the window until now. “You’re not fooling me, Katherine, I know damn well you can take care of yourself. You’re Katherine Pierce, after all.” That girl didn’t survive as long as she had without knowing how to take care of herself. “We can get you car now and skip the food.” It was a suggestion, but he didn’t think she’d go for it.
“You’re way too happy,” he said as he glanced over again. He didn’t think he would be watching Katherine trying to stand up. “Will you sit your ass down.” He grabbed her by the arm and pulled her down until she was sitting again. “Don’t make me compel you to behave. You know I will,” he half teased. “We’re going to walk in there and you’re never going to want to leave.”
Once he parked the car, he got out and walked alongside Katherine, who was practically drooling the closer they got to the food. “Whatever you want to try.” This was more her thing. He was just along for the ride, so he really didn’t care where they started.
