The Doctor watched as the two became reacquainted, their playful banter giving him a boost he hadn't felt in a long, long time. He couldn't help but feel a little pang, however. It would have been nice for Clara to have shared this too. She'd been with him from the moment he was taken and had kept him going when he'd felt quite desolate. Still, he couldn't have everything, could he? He had Rose, and Jack, they brought more fun into the TARDIS than it had seen since Donna...left.
"Well, not so much time, or space," The Doctor broke the news to Jack, "we can only explore this dimension, but I'm sure, with you pair along, we'll find some adventure along the way." He began to steer the TARDIS carefully out of their garden, doing his best to leave the fence and lawn intact as he guided the vessel into the air. "I have missed this!" he looked from Rose to Jack and back again. "So what's first? The Great Wall of China, The Pyramids? We could go off to New Zealand and pretend to be hobbits, if you liked," The Doctor said with a grin. "And you!" he nudged Rose affectionately, "no tears. You know how I hate tears!"
