Why do bad things happen to good people?
Who: Lily and Open
When: Half past midnight.
Where: Her room on the second floor.
After a whole morning of attempting to stay awake and help Avery deal with the fact that his medicine was missing, Lily found she needed a bit of peace. Between lunch and tea-time (which was around 5pm) she had slept the lack of caffeine away in her room, and then gotten up, had a bite to eat in the kitchen and spent the rest of the day in the theater watching old movies by herself. At least in there nothing was wrong - yet - and she could drown in fiction all she wanted.
Movie after movie after movie and Lily had ended up having dinner in there - a sandwich, no more - and then fallen asleep. It must have been little after midnight when she woke up, back aching and neck stiff, completely confused as to where she was or when she was, really. She had dragged herself up the stairs to her room, hoping to just strip off of her clothes and call it a day by throwing herself on the bed. However, upon getting to her room, she slipped most uncharacteristically, having to keep herself up by putting both hands at the wall between her door. Looking down, she could see water coming from under her door, which made her gasp as she opened the door immediately. When she turned on the ceiling light her heart dropped, and immediately she felt like crying. Most everything she owned was on the floor, knocked off of the shelves, dresser and bedside tables, and worst of all, everything was wet. Once Lily heard the sound of the bathtub tap running she rushed to close it, holding onto things as to keep from slipping. And in the bathtub, she found the bed-sheets she had noticed gone from her bed.
The sight had rendered Lily petrified for a few minutes, after which she walked back out to her bedroom slowly, and looked around. She was over ankle-deep in water, everything she owned was ruined, and she felt horrible. Lily began crying as she plumped down on the floor, sitting in a sea of hair accessories and make-up, and wondered what she could have done to warrant so much hatred. "What did I do?!" She cried, uncaring of the noise that could go out the still-open door to her room.
