finding company
Who: Cam and Avery
Where: First floor [edited so we're not running straight into Mick!]
When: Early afternoon
It would have been tempting to stay in her room all day - between the unnervingly perfect bed, the huge bathtub and plenty of sound equipment between what was provided her and the things she'd lugged along to test out the acoustics of the high ceilings, there was more than enough to keep a loner like Cam occupied. And after the uncountable drives and plane rides here, she'd been grateful for the chance to let sore muscles relax.
But she had this weird itch about this place. She didn't think she was the only one, either. It was too perfect, too isolated, and too easy to not talk to anyone. She was more than capable of taking care of herself - at home, it wasn't like she was exactly calling her parents every five minutes - and she rarely sought out company, but she was also in public more often than not; walking down a busy street, or with errands to run, somewhere where if something happened a hundred witnesses would be left. And she'd have something to do by now in the real world: cleaning, papers to file, clients to joke with and artists to get on task. It felt a little unnatural for things to be so quiet.
But it wasn't like she could move this place to the middle of a bustling downtown and, while she had designs on it later, turning on the music didn't make her less alone. And considering that more people seemed to be moving in each day, she might as well get to know some of them -- before they got replaced.
She got dressed, feeling better for it, and, in a good mood, headed down the huge staircase, intending to find some company and maybe rustle up some cereal.
