Who: Osten and Audrey
When: Late afternoon
Where: Common area
It had been an informative morning; Audrey had watched more than one poor sod downstairs nearly flip their lids trying to get out of the locked doors - note to self, make sure the bastards can't do that to my door - before they realized there was a message light on their computers. Reading the responses themselves was less entertaining; most were the banal, ridiculous shit one came up with to avoid answering with any real substance, but a few made her snicker. She rather liked that Lina girl. She was feisty. The rest of the footage was fairly boring; more of the same meet-and-greet crap that had her yawning. She knew it was too early for secrets and lies, but she was holding out for something exciting happening at whatever little gathering they were having that night.
When the cameras got boring, Audrey spent some time doing what exercises she could in her room - she'd noticed the lack of exercise equipment in the attic and knew it wouldn't be long before she'd be going a little stir-crazy. She was used to daily workouts. So it was push-ups, sit-ups, and leg work before she cleared a bit of space to work on some forms - kicks and strikes, whatever she could do without the benefit of a sparring partner to hold pads for her.
A quick shower left her feeling refreshed; she dried her hair in its usual big, soft waves, did her makeup, and got dressed. Her hot pink skinny jeans and yellow tank under a charcoal sweater were as different from the near-business casual of the day before, but Audrey didn't like to be predictable. She did want to look approachable - at least for now - and the pants were at least a conversation starter, as was the sunny yellow watch she was wearing. Everything else was fairly simple - black flats, black nail polish, and black pearl earrings completed the look. A book under her arm, she made a brief stop at the dumbwaiter to check out the offerings and walked away with an apple, a handful of almonds, and a cup of tea. Setting her snack down on the side table beside her in the common area, she curled up in one of the big armchairs and settled down to read for a bit.
