Theodore was still walking a bit stiffly, but the limp wasn't so pronounced now that it had been nearly a week. His ankle ached a little, especially after climbing several sets of moving stairs, but it didn't dampen his spirits, which were feeling oddly lifted at the prospect of seeing Jamie. At the same time, he was nervous; he hadn't seen the Ravenclaw since they'd spoken in the journals, and the thought of what he'd done to Jamie dragged him back down to earth as surely as weights around his legs.
He waited at the door, looking up and down the corridor, waiting for Jamie. He found the comforting rectangle of his tarot deck in the front pocket of his robes, outlined by fabric, and relaxed a little. His other hand tugged absently at his shaggy hair, fingers twisting a little and pulling, releasing, and repeating. Maybe he should just go. Should I just go? Maybe. He won't come. Maybe. As soon as he sees me, he'll remember. Every time he sees me, it will remind him.
