It had been a long day for everyone. And Anthony hadn't slept well since Friday when he took Michael to the hospital wing. Worry was a funny thing like that. Plus with the memorial and the quarantine actually kicking into place? Anthony wasn't really sure what to feel anymore. Plus, Stephen had just walked all willy-nilly into Michael's hospital room, potentially exposing himself to the magic eating virus and Anthony knew that sleep was a ridiculous thing to think about.
So, when he left the hospital wing for the night, it was more to wander than with any real destination in mind. Even though he was a prefect, it was very late and even he shouldn't have been out of bed. Not that it mattered. There were a ton of people in the school now and it seemed as if even they couldn't sleep. It was strange seeing people in the hall this late at night and not being yelled at. No one cared. And there really weren't that many people out.
When he found himself outside of the Hufflepuff dorms, Anthony couldn't say he was really surprised. When worry found him, his best options were to go and visit two of his favorite people in the world. His best friend and his boyfriend. He hadn't seen much of Ioan since the Goldstein Annual Cookout, so he stopped into his room first. It was late and he was sure Ioan would be asleep. Kissing him lightly on the forehead and tucking the blankets up around him, Anthony went to leave the room. He ended up spending an additional half hour when Ioan woke up from the nightmare, just talking to him and holding him, laying together like they had all their lives.
It wasn't long before Anthony was in Justin's room. It was dark, much like Justin, and Anthony assumed the other Hufflepuff's with normal sleeping behavior, seemed to like it. He pulled out his wand, trying to keep his stupid breathing normal for the few seconds it took to light the tip of his wand and move across the floor to where he knew Justin's bed to be. He parted the curtains, shielding the light so it wasn't so bad. "Justin, are you awake?"
