Back in 1998 the world of Witches and Warlocks was uncovered after a plot to enslave humanity was foiled. It was on that day that Project Nightshade was established. Project Nightshade is a group of dedicated scientists that seek to uncover, and eliminate those species that they deem are “threatening” to humanity.

Fast forward to presnt day. New Orleans is a bustling underground of “supernatural activities”. Covens of vampires, packs of shapeshifters, ghosts, faeries and demons have found a way to co-exist peacefully in secret. Even the random “Hunter/Slayer” that finds their way into the area can see there is a difference.

But the scientists at Project Nightshade are not finished. No, they are just getting started. They are close to developing a formula that will eliminate all the superaturals of the world. Demons will be forever banished to hell, Ghosts will be sent to the “afterlife”, shifters, vamps and faes will find their powers taken away. They will be human once more. And that of course, is if they cooperate.

The nightshade formula is very unstable, and when administered incorrectly, will not only remove any supernatural powers found in a body, it will remove the soul as well. And once the pain starts to overtake you, your Death will be welcome.
