Friending Frenzy! Wheeeeeeee!

Welcome to The Phoenix Flies Kick-off Friending Frenzy!

At over 70 members, more than 180 watchers, 60 prompts and more than 40 claims, we're off to a fantastic start! (Rumor has it that there are fics that are already done and ready to be posted... submission guidelines will be posted soon.) So while we all wait for next Monday's posting to begin, we're going to start things off with a little friending frenzy. Now's the time to catch back up with all your old friends from The-Site-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named as well as making some new ones as well.

Now, let the word go forth that the friending frenzy has begun! (That means "pimp.") This frenzy is being hosted by

phoenix_flies but anyone may participate. You don't have to be a member or watcher to have fun and make friends here (although, of course, we hope you'll want to watch and play along!) Posting begins on August 27th and the next community event is scheduled for September 8-9. (Specific details to follow soon!)

For friending purposes, does age matter to you?: I only friend adults.
How you participate in fandom (writer/artist/beta/icon maker/vidder/lurker/official wearer of slinky red knickers): Some fanfic, if struck with an idea or taken by a prompt.
Favorite HP characters/pairings: Hermione/almost anyone male except Ron unless trio. I like trio fic.
Least favorite characters/pairings:Hermione/Ron, Harry/Ginny, Bill/Fleur. JKR must never attempt to jump genres to romance. Not Ever.
Favorite book from HP canon: Like them all.
Other fandoms that you dig: I played in the La Femme Nikita fandom for a while in 98/99/00
Anything else you want us to know?: I'm a school counselor, so I've been known to rant about parents/students/government in my journal. NOM meant to my friends of course as they are all perfectly rational people who would never do any of the things I'm ranting about. I write original stuff, but if I post it it's usually locked and/or filtered. I give advice. It's a terrible failing.

	I love trio fic, and I agree, JKR fails at romance. I'm not so much bothered by Ron/Hermione, but the rest? blink blink Thank God, for fandom. At any rate, I'm an adult. Mind if I friend? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I think if JKR jumped genres to romance I'd weep, although when it comes to her ability to ruin ships I liked she's pretty good. (In OOTP I thought Harry/Ginny could be cute, and I thought Remus/Tonks could be cute. She showed me wrong on both of them) (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Go right ahead, and sure thing. I'm pretty sporatic with the orginal stuff I'm posting though . It isn't my main work, so it gets worked on when I'm inspired. (It's totally the fault of my writing group that I'm writing it at all, in fact, when I should be writing the main project, because, Regency Era threesome? 	Hi back! I hope its good. Why amazed? Somebody on my F-list (Ali? Ky?, can't remember) or maybe my writing board, wrote a Draco/Ginny a week or two ago and it suddenly struck me as a totally workable pairing. So the pairing was stewing around in my brain and I saw your prompt and went, "Destiny! Mine." (Reply to this) (Parent)
