Friending Frenzy! Wheeeeeeee!

Welcome to The Phoenix Flies Kick-off Friending Frenzy!

At over 70 members, more than 180 watchers, 60 prompts and more than 40 claims, we're off to a fantastic start! (Rumor has it that there are fics that are already done and ready to be posted... submission guidelines will be posted soon.) So while we all wait for next Monday's posting to begin, we're going to start things off with a little friending frenzy. Now's the time to catch back up with all your old friends from The-Site-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named as well as making some new ones as well.

For friending purposes, does age matter to you?: Nope. Friends are nice.
How you participate in fandom (writer/artist/beta/icon maker/vidder/lurker/official wearer of slinky red knickers): I'd love to beta, but am not currently.
Favorite HP characters/pairings: OTP is Snape/Harry. I'd like to see more Remus/Draco cause there really isn't much of that pair. Harry/Draco is ok. My sister's pestering me to start reading het again, and for that I would choose Draco/Hermione or Ron/Hermione (which used to be my OTP before I discovered slash). Fave character is Snape, hands down. If it features Snape prominently, I'll read it.
Least favorite characters/pairings: Graphic Dumbledore/anyone. Harry/Hermione. Umbridge.
Favorite book from HP canon: Tie between GoF and HBP.
Other fandoms that you dig: I'd like to see better stuff in the Cirque du Freak fandom, but the author has specifically said he doesn't want fanfic posted using his series, so that probably won't happen.
Anything else you want us to know?: I'd love to be able to write fic or do art or make icons, but I'm hopelessly untalented. I'd like to learn how to make icons though. That would be fun. I post mostly RL and memes that catch my fancy. Though I'm going to try to give more recs and fandom related stuff.

	The entire series is now available for purchase here in the US and it is 12 books. I've bought the last couple of books, but haven't read them yet. I think I'll take them to Hawaii with me and read them there. I've read through The Lake of Souls I think. Is it weird that I'd like to see a crossover between Cirque du Freak and Harry Potter? 	I could totally see Voldemort enlisting the help of the vampaneze by promising to help eradicate the vampires later, thereby forcing the Order to beg the vampires for help and getting some great Harry/Darren slash going. Yay! I now have insentive to reload Microsoft Office. Long story made short...my hard drive crashed a while ago, and I haven't gotten around to reloading all my programs yet since I mainly use this for internet access now that I'm out of school. I should be able to get your story back to you within a day or two from when you send it as long as I'm not on vacation. I'm a fast reader and have a semi-photographic memory, which helps. I'm excited to see your story! I'm friending you too!

	Hehe! I had to work my way over to my Snape love. I started out a huge Ron/Hermione shipper over on Checkmated, which led me to Draco/Hermione, and then my sister pointed me in the direction of slash and I gravitated immediately to Snape/Harry. 	Urg! Filch?! I have never seen that pairing, and I shall count myself lucky for that. That one is almost intriguing (read: disturbing) enough that I might have to click on it. Hehe! Yeah, I never got those Dumbeldore fics. Luckily, my brain shuts down at the mere mention of graphic Dumbledore makes my brain shut down. I avoid horrific mental images that way. I thank my brain profusely for that.

I really wish some authors would get more interested in Draco/Remus. At least as a prominent side pairing in a Snarry story. Something! We can dream, right?

	Lucky you, my brain choses to go blank only during lectures I should be paying attention to... nods Yup, the only long D/R fic I ever found was by the fab Titti, but that's more or less it.
