Friending Frenzy! Wheeeeeeee!

Welcome to The Phoenix Flies Kick-off Friending Frenzy!



At over 70 members, more than 180 watchers, 60 prompts and more than 40 claims, we're off to a fantastic start! (Rumor has it that there are fics that are already done and ready to be posted... submission guidelines will be posted soon.) So while we all wait for next Monday's posting to begin, we're going to start things off with a little friending frenzy. Now's the time to catch back up with all your old friends from The-Site-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named as well as making some new ones as well.

How you participate in fandom (writer/artist/beta/icon maker/vidder/lurker/official wearer of slinky red knickers): Part time writer, occasional icon maker and wearer of slinky red knickers for sure.
Favorite HP characters/pairings: HP/SS absolutely favorites. I am becoming rather obsessed with the Weasleys, er, together in a very naughty way. If I didn't ship Snarry I think I'd ship Harry/Luna.
Least favorite characters/pairings: Ginny is evil. I don't really get Ron in a slash pairing, not sure why.
Favorite book from HP canon: POA and HBP
Other fandoms that you dig: Uh . . .
Anything else you want us to know?: The single thing I can't bear in a Snarry fic is infidelity.

The infidelity issue? It just breaks my heart-they love each other, they belong together. Jealousy is one thing - I can deal with that, to a point, if it ends up happy.

OotP movie Luna was rather amazing. I really liked her. :)

Infidelity fics are scary, but there are times that I go searching for them (though I do need to know there will be a happy ending waiting at the end of all the heartache and anxiety).

Don't like Ginny. Love Severus/Harry. :) Can I friend you?

Eh, Snarry is AMAZING goodness... Ginny is not evil but Ron in slash is! ...even tho' I have written him in that way before. Don't kill me! :) Luna is love.

Interesting you ship Harry & Luna - she is the one and only female character I can even contemplate with him. Actually now you've got me thinking - how about Remus/Luna? He obviously likes 'em young (and canon or no canon, NO WAY is Remus/Tonks working out!)

Er, mostly the twins, yeah. I didn't mean them all at once. Although I will say it amuses me that a lot of people don't mind them. Why is that incest OK, but not any of the rest of them? I freely admit I feel somewhat the same. It's odd the way our minds work.

As for Luna, I actually think she understands Harry better than most.

The abandoned boys line in DH pretty much confirmed my opinion that the story is about three people, three roads taken, three different outcomes. Tom takes the left, Harry the right, and Severus takes the left, then has to cut through the brambles and thorns to get from the left to the right.

Ok I wanna understand this no slashing Ron thing. I admit, he's usually straight in my head, but I've defintiely read some good slash stories featuring Weasley #6. And Ron/Draco is teh hawtness, no? All that tension between them?

I am definitely with you on shipping Harry/Luna if I wasn't so stuck on HP/SS. I do like Ginny (don't hate me for that!) but Luna just came off as the better choice for him. And I am so with you on infidelity. Those stories just break my heart! Despite my like for Ginny, can we be friends? :D
