Friending Frenzy! Wheeeeeeee!

Welcome to The Phoenix Flies Kick-off Friending Frenzy!

At over 70 members, more than 180 watchers, 60 prompts and more than 40 claims, we're off to a fantastic start! (Rumor has it that there are fics that are already done and ready to be posted... submission guidelines will be posted soon.) So while we all wait for next Monday's posting to begin, we're going to start things off with a little friending frenzy. Now's the time to catch back up with all your old friends from The-Site-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named as well as making some new ones as well.

Now, let the word go forth that the friending frenzy has begun! (That means "pimp.") This frenzy is being hosted by

phoenix_flies but anyone may participate. You don't have to be a member or watcher to have fun and make friends here (although, of course, we hope you'll want to watch and play along!) Posting begins on August 27th and the next community event is scheduled for September 8-9. (Specific details to follow soon!)

Your age: Over 30 (don't you know you're not supposed to ask a lady's age? :)
For friending purposes, does age matter to you?: Please be legal and act like a grown-up.
How you participate in fandom (writer/artist/beta/icon maker/vidder/lurker/official wearer of slinky red knickers): avid lurker, also write, but not prolific. I'm rather nervous about posting what I write. It's so hard to let my babies leave the nest.
Favorite HP characters/pairings: Snarry, though I do have a fondness for Draco.
Least favorite characters/pairings: Ginny/Harry
Favorite book from HP canon: Prisoner of Azkaban (And last three or four chapters of Half-Blood Prince. Or maybe it's just the title that I enjoy.)
Other fandoms that you dig: None right now, but I would love to be directed to any Old series Star Trek fics. Kirk and Spock. Who knew?

	Hi! I'm nervous about posting my writing as well. I just have to psyche up myself and put it out there. Most people in fandom are supportive (at least on the journaling sites), so it makes my life easier. grins (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	It's true that fandom folk, especially in the HP fandom, are very supportive. But there's always that story you've not sure about and then it gets no comments after you post it. Or, even worse sometimes, it gets fifty comments five minutes after you post it. Posting fic is just not easy for me. (Reply to this) (Parent)
