Friending Frenzy! Wheeeeeeee!

Welcome to The Phoenix Flies Kick-off Friending Frenzy!

At over 70 members, more than 180 watchers, 60 prompts and more than 40 claims, we're off to a fantastic start! (Rumor has it that there are fics that are already done and ready to be posted... submission guidelines will be posted soon.) So while we all wait for next Monday's posting to begin, we're going to start things off with a little friending frenzy. Now's the time to catch back up with all your old friends from The-Site-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named as well as making some new ones as well.

Now, let the word go forth that the friending frenzy has begun! (That means "pimp.") This frenzy is being hosted by

phoenix_flies but anyone may participate. You don't have to be a member or watcher to have fun and make friends here (although, of course, we hope you'll want to watch and play along!) Posting begins on August 27th and the next community event is scheduled for September 8-9. (Specific details to follow soon!)

Your age: Older than most, but not ancient. I am probably not old enough to be your mother.
For friending purposes, does age matter to you?: Over 18. My journal is of a nature where underage IJers should only lurk! ;0)
How you participate in fandom (writer/artist/beta/icon maker/vidder/lurker/official wearer of slinky red knickers): No knickers unless they are black, but fic, art, comms, newsletters, S/L archive, S/L-wiki and -ship-site... And I'm the chair of Danish Harry Potter Society. Far too much, really.
Favorite HP characters/pairings: Severus/Lucius is my OTP. I really like Snape/Lupin and Snape/Percy. Draco goes fine with all of them. Lucius/Narcissa is my favourite het pairing.
Least favorite characters/pairings:Anything with Harry, Hermione, Bella or Sirius in it. Snape/Evans. They are great pairings/characters, I'm sure, but they don't do anything for me.
Favorite book from HP canon: Tie between OotP and PoA
Other fandoms that you dig: Buffy, LotR and Nightrunner. Not active in any of them, though, and I am not going to be.
Anything else you want us to know?: Snupin is my comfort food. I dislike Psycho!Lucius so much I sometimes have a hard time reading my OTP out of fear of running into him. So when I read it is mostly Snupin, or SS/LM authors I know well. Otherwise I like to read Remus or Neville in many different pairings.

I would love to be friends. :) I'm an admirer of your work (big time lurker). I think you know me best from my icons over at LJ (briarrose-icons). I have set up a mirror journal at GJ and IJ. I'm not sure in the end which one I'm going to use. For now I'm keeping my LJ and I feel much more at home at IJ. This is my RL journal, not very interesting but shall we add each other anyway? :D
