Friending Frenzy! Wheeeeeeee!

Welcome to The Phoenix Flies Kick-off Friending Frenzy!

At over 70 members, more than 180 watchers, 60 prompts and more than 40 claims, we're off to a fantastic start! (Rumor has it that there are fics that are already done and ready to be posted... submission guidelines will be posted soon.) So while we all wait for next Monday's posting to begin, we're going to start things off with a little friending frenzy. Now's the time to catch back up with all your old friends from The-Site-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named as well as making some new ones as well.

Now, let the word go forth that the friending frenzy has begun! (That means "pimp.") This frenzy is being hosted by

phoenix_flies but anyone may participate. You don't have to be a member or watcher to have fun and make friends here (although, of course, we hope you'll want to watch and play along!) Posting begins on August 27th and the next community event is scheduled for September 8-9. (Specific details to follow soon!)

Your age: 36
For friending purposes, does age matter to you?: 18+ is probably best.
How you participate in fandom (writer/artist/beta/icon maker/vidder/lurker/official wearer of slinky red knickers): I draw really silly cartoons. Also sometimes I write meta, which is ~~SRS BSNS~~ equally silly.
Favorite HP characters/pairings: I like James, Lily, Sirius, Harry, Voldemort, the adult Malfoys, Snape, Luna. Any combo of those. With the possible exception of Snily (it's just so soon and I just got so totally owned, I swore that would never happen).
Least favorite characters/pairings: I don't like Lupin. I don't like R/S. I don't mind if you are into these things, in fact I will even draw them for you. I just don't get them myself.
Favorite book from HP canon: HBP so far. It may end up being DH in the end, but I need to read it moar, I'm not for sure yet.
Other fandoms that you dig: I'm not really "in the fandoms" for any of these things, for various reasons, but I like a lot of Bravo reality shows, VH1 reality shows, HBO shows, Showtime shows. In the cases of HBO and Showtime it's because I don't have the channels so I watch the shows on DVD a year after everyone else.
Anything else you want us to know?: I'm really obsessed with the whole The Pickup Artist from VH1 right now, and the whole meme it spawned from. I apologize for that, but I'm pretty sure it won't last long.

	Yeah, I'm kind of addicted to both. The Pickup Artist is just cute at times but I'm not sure who I want to win. Rock of Love is addicting in that annoying way because Lacy is still there. Hey, can there be a spin-off with Predeep and Lacy called Picked Up Crazy? I would watch that. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I want an icon of that one guy asking if anyone wants to see him breakdance. I think that was Kozmo? I swear if Lacey isn't kicked off of Rock of Love soon I'll scream. People like her drive me insane. The only person on that show I still like is Jes. (Reply to this) (Parent)
