Note: I am SO sorry some of these turned out a little blurry. Stupid camera. Grrr. Still don't have the hang of photographing LEGO pieces yet, apparently.
Remus had been hiking all morning. He’d been wanting to go out to the Forbidden Forest every since he started teaching at Hogwarts, but it wasn’t until now that he found the time.
That was really a lie, however. It wasn’t time he had been waiting for, it had been desire. And the break-in at Halloween by the traitor, Sirius Black, had been just the thing to spur him to action.
The Forbidden Forest had changed since his last time there, with fallen trees here and new plants there. He wasn’t even sure that he would recognize the clearing where he and Sirius had made love all day long if it wasn’t a clearing still.
Remus stopped in his tracks. The big tree to his right looked familiar, but there were so many trees, he couldn’t be entirely sure. It was then that he spotted the red poppies. Something clenched in his chest and he fought back a wave of nausea. This was it. This was where it had all ended and begun.
“Hello there?”
Remus spun around, trying to find his breath and clear his eyes of tears. Then his eyes widened. A centaur stood before him. “Ah, I’m sorry. I didn’t realize this was centaur territory…”
The centaur looked at him, head cocked. “You are not of here, yet you are not completely human.”
“No, I’m… not.” The rumors of werewolves running wild in the Forbidden Forest had been around since before Remus’ time at Hogwarts. Dumbledore had told him it wasn’t true and that there were plenty of other creatures in the forest. But this made Remus wonder. “I’m a werewolf.”
“Ah.” The centaur nodded. “I have always wished to know a werewolf.”
Remembering he had a snack in his pack, Remus pulled out an apple. It was a pretty poor peace offering for a creature that was half house, half man. But the centaur didn’t seem to mind. “My name’s Remus Lupin. I’m a professor at—”
“Hush,” the centaur said, taking the offering. “I care not of the affairs of wizardkind or what has brought you here.”
“What… do you… want to know then?”
“I wish to know you.” He repeated, and Remus finally understood. This was incredibly strange, but perhaps it was exactly what he needed to rid his memory of being here with Sirius. The castle was filled with memories he could not erase. At least he’d be able to get rid of one of them out here. “I understand your kind mates for life, so if there is a problem, I shall be on my way. Otherwise, I am at your disposal.”
Strange or not, Remus walked forward, raised himself up on his toes, and kissed the centaur. He didn’t even know his name. All he knew was that the centaur’s lips were soft and beard scraggly. His own cock leapt with excitement. He’d known people who got their kicks having sex with other magical beings. He knew his kind was on someone’s list somewhere and he’d never had such a horrible list of his own. Yet, he had wondered from time to time what it might be like to have sex with another magical creature.
Could he really do this? Yes, he could. He could lie with the centaur in his arms and rub against him. He could wrap his hand around the centaur’s huge cock and pull. He could have meaningless sex in a place with so much meaning for him.
The cawing of a bird, so loud and sudden, attracted Remus’ attention. He turned and saw a dark bird fly from the large tree Remus had spotted just moments before. He stood alone in the glen, alone with his memories. And after taking a long, deep breath, he hiked back to Hogwarts, leaving that memory behind to stay in the wilds of the forest.
