i'm still figuring things out, but basically a lot of it is about appearances with hadleigh. she judges those around her purely on first impressions, and sticks to those impressions, even though most times they're wrong. so if you picked your nose in the first grade, she'd remember you as the gross nose picker, period, that sort of thing. she's got a bit of a pretentious attitude, knows she's pretty and could have "you're so vain" dedicated to her, and won't go out of her way to be friendly. her parents' divorce is still going on and the circumstances behind it were pretty scandalous. i'm thinking her dad cheated on her mom, now maybe has a kid on the way with his lady on the side, and it tore the family apart and took hadleigh by surprise. despite her judgmental attitude, she's always been very family-oriented and saw her parents' relationship as a constant so it really just threw her for a loop. i think she has her close friends, who she'd do anything for, her social circle, and doesn't really associate with anyone else unless she has to. and sorry for this crazy ramble :-/

	it's okay! i'm still working on quincy, as well. do you think she would have opened enough to come to him about her parents divorce, perhaps? he's got a reputation as the school therapist, a hell of a lot more effective than the ACTUAL school therapist, and maybe that's where her unknown crush on him stems from? i was thinking something like that would work really well actually! i think hadleigh would have a bit too much pride to come to him initially, but he could've caught her in one of her weaker moments at school or something maybe? he could've listened, been supportive, etc., and since then she's been coming to him to talk somewhat regularly? i definitely think his listening and being there for her in some way would be the main reason behind her liking him

	it seems that wherever quincy lurks allows him to find a lot of people in their weaker moments, so that's just fine! he's pretty well versed in parents not being together, so he'd help her out there. (Reply to this) (Parent)
