[info]nyt a take-no-shit woman for his best friend/co-worker at the bar. past flings from 2017-2019. fellow visual artists specifically ones that would be interested in helping him curate monthly underground gallery exhibitions.

nice! as for more details... in a nutshell, reid's lifestyle and personal ideologies are very punk. he doesn't agree with, in fact he hates, how elitist the mainstream art world is in every way even down to how they choose which artists to work with and promote. so he and some other like-minded art friends i imagine came up with the idea of hosting their own diy monthly underground gallery. that way they can showcase artists that might be down on their luck, homeless even, or just struggling in any sense at being overlooked by the larger galleries and the broader art community. they'd charge a minimal admission fee to those who can afford to pay and provide a set number of comp tickets to those who can't each month. that way they could pay to rent the space and maybe even start up their own grant/charity fund to award each year to support a local artist in need. that's the basic idea anyway, obviously anyone involved in helping get it up and running would be able to put in their ideas on how to improve it. reid just wanted a way to give back to local artists while also giving a middle finger to the snobbery that runs rampant in the traditional art world as a whole.

this is up kez's alley so i'd love for him to be a part of it.
