we know there's a few hogwarts games out there somewhere, but would anyone be interested in an hp game based in america? it wouldn't be based on a school, or the life and times of harry potter, so older characters could be played and there'd be no real canon. it'd be set in a magical town, sort of like hogsmeade combined with diagon alley. if you're interested, please let us know and let others know too by linking them to this post!
- it'll also be the year of the quidditch world cup, which will be held in america for all intensive purposes. characters from around the world would be welcome to be played since it's a huge thing and it takes quite some time to put together. (ENGLAND VS. AUSTRALIA)
- there will be a nearby ministry of magic (since america needs one too), which means more than enough jobs! aurors, obliviators, muggle liasons, etc. would all be needed.

we're getting closer to being finished, but please bear with us since we're essentially constructing a town from scratch and there's a lot that needs to be covered. if all goes as planned, we'll be able to open shop on 5/12 so be ready! we'll use 5/13 as a buffer, just in case. if you've been taking a peek at the journal, you'll notice that "muggle" will be an available blood status. to make things a little more fun, we've decided to allow muggles into the game as well if they are directly related to another character. they must be a parent or a spouse, but they will still be welcome since they're not completely oblivious as long as someone's telling them what to look for.

Okay so this is the journal I will be using for stanleys! She is a wedding columnist who will be writing an article (possibly a series of them) about the wedding, as well as other aspects and details that go into planning. I'm also thinking of making her a friend of the bride, which would be why she decided to get it cleared with her editor to run these (she promised lots of juicy stories!). She's going to be loosely based off of James Marsden's character in 27 Dresses, as far as her slightly cynical attitude and witty sense of humor, as well as her intrusiveness.
With that being said, she would probably at some point talk to at least everyone close to the bride and groom, and/or people involved with planning the wedding. Possibly you have a character who is a known fame whore and loves to make things about them so tries to talk to Joslyn as often as possible? That'd be fun! I'm up for any lines at all, and they don't even have to be associated with her writing the articles!

I don't know if anyone has ever made a community like this or not, but I would love to see someone make a community based around a retirement/nursing home type setting. Where it would be based around the residents, but they would also be reliving their youth through stories in their journals and scenes. So basically each character would have two PBs or versions to play out, the senior and the younger version. Something like the movie The Notebook type of thing. I think it would be very interesting. Unfortunately I am pretty useless when it comes to setting up a community, but would be willing to help however I could if someone wanted to use the idea.
