i was looking for something that was already a little progressed (despite the love for organic) where they had met and got along which means he can't be too seriously set in adulthood. she is a quirky character who sort of struggles with growing up, and i wanted to pair her with someone who liked that about her and was able to banter, but could also be serious at times. my ideas for possible relationships were that she worked at his office, or came by where he worked enough that she became a regular, professor-- that sort of deal.
