Who: OPEN
What: The Halloween party continues, now with far more elaborate costumes...
Where: The Empty Grave
When: 9 p.m. until
Warnings: Just assume this one's going to get naughty.
Notes: This is the transformation post! Again, subject line denotes location. Go shed those mortal skins!

As it had been with Pax Letale, so it was with its tenants: The shift from mundane to immortal was somehow creeping but immediate, passing almost beneath notice until the change was complete. Clothing faded rather than being shed; some deities remained in their humans' attire, some wore their old familiar kit, but all were utterly changed. The DJ played on, bartenders and waitstaff wound through the crowd, guests from outside the strange apartment danced and talked and flirted still with the partners who had brought them, all of them oblivious to the inhuman nature of the beings beside them. But for the residents of Pax, everything was about to change.

There was a crackle in his ears as bones started to break and reform, turing the human body into that of the oni god Raijin. Pain laced through him like an electrical charge as his body started to resemble a monster. The skin turned red from the energy exerted, and twin horns grew at his hairline and his fingers started to resemble talons from a bird of prey. His mane of hair turned the color of pitch and fell in his face, longer than it had previously been. His body felt hot, and the demon-like god let the sleeves fall from his arms and slipped them out and let the gi hang from his waist. He was breathing hard, but a smile cracked along his face. Raijin was free.

The Japanese god of thunder let out a barking laughter and held his sides. Finally he was free of that timid boy. The boy was still there though, somewhere in the back of his mind, lost and unknowing that someone else inhabited his body. The god stood up straight and sniffed in the air, it was stale, not fresh like the mountains in Nihon, his island home. He had been carried over the sea and landed in this new place, but was once again near the ocean. He could smell the water and the salt even confined within this place.

That was when he heard it. The rums, the vibrations from the speakers that drew him close. He lolled his head over his shoulder and looked over at the DJ's table as he spun the music. The revere reminding him so much of his drums that he no longer had with him. The boy had a set back in his apartment. Raijin was always right there whenever the boy had the urge to blast out a few beats.

Raijin reached out and ran his claws along the wire cage that held the speaker in. He let the vibrations wash over him. He wanted to be inside the box where the noise came from.
