Hello, my name is Ren and I live in room 404. I just moved in a few days ago and I have just started unpacking most of my stuff so I haven't been very social or gotten a chance to use this thing yet. Yet I have already unpacked my games and have played six hours straight on Halo, BUT that is my excuse and I'm sticking with it.

For someone who grew up with electronics, you would think something like this would come second nature, but it just feels a little awkward introducing myself to "the neighborhood" via this thing. It probably would have been a lot stranger to go door to door introducing myself. Yeah, like I would have done that, hahah. Not a girl scout, not selling cookies.

Though I do know a couple of people here from before I officially moved in and here is a special message for one of them: Chris, dude, call me already before I have to stake out your apartment.

I have come to the conclusion that I hate unpacking and I have nothing to eat right now except ramen noodles. It might be a few days before I am able to find my way back out of my apartment long enough to go stock up on things like...food. So does anyone here know of a few good places that deliver and are on the relatively cheap side? Cause man can not live by ramen noodles alone.

Very awesome. I can't even draw a straight line so I totally respect people who can do that and more. I'm an Oceanographer; not very artsy, but...we have to fight the tides a lot, to get the samples we need, so it's exciting at least?

Sounds a lot better than ushering people from one place to another at a theme park.

I love the ocean. This is the first time I've lived so close to it.

I bet you meet a lot of...interesting people though?

Me too, but I guess that's obvious. It's a great view from here, isn't it? I've always been surrounded by the sea, being a Navy brat and all, but it's something I'll never tire of.

Mostly kids and their parents.

My apartment actually faces away from the ocean. It was cheaper that way, but when I get a chance to see it, yeah, it's pretty amazing.

My father used to live on Okinawa, since you are a Navy brat I will assume you know where that is, but he kept his family as far away from the ocean as possible. I guess he didn't like it all that much.

It's not the happiest place on earth, I take it?

Are you into water sports too?

My dad was stationed in Okinawa for awhile so yeah, I'm pretty familiar with it. Kept away from the ocean, damn, that just stabbed me right in the heart.

Not for me and some others I know who work there.

I want to learn to surf, but I think I might drown if I try it alone.

Eh, my dad's a weird one, but he paid my tuition, so I'm not complaining too much.

I can certainly understand that.

Haha, well, if you feel like giving it a try sometime, let me know. I think 707 surfs regularly too.

It's alright, everyone thinks their parents are weird to some extent.
