Um, I don't really have any answers, or know what happened so I can't answer those questions, but I'm working on a way to try and get people out of the energy field who are trapped. I just need to make sure first that there won't be any sort of negative reaction before I do anything. And if anyone has a count of how many people, that would be great too.

I'm okay. Not entirely sure what's going on or started this, but I managed to get out.

I've been waiting to hear news from or about this dome that's appeared over the city but...

I suppose I should be thankful that I've not had the money opportunity to order more than the odd coffee or muffin this month, given what I'm seeing today on the Network. While a pumpkin spice coffee and muffin was unexpected, it wasn't as unpleasant as I imagine some other combinations could have been.

I do apologize for my absence as of late. I'm afraid last month's snow storm was a little inconvenient, and I've had quite a bit of unexpected running around to do this month.

Well, that was certainly an unexpected little flurry, wasn't it?

I expect it may take a few days for the full extent of the damage to become more clearly known, though I'm thankful that the roads into the city are becoming navigable again.

I hope that everyone was able to pull through with minimal hardship. If anyone is in need of assistance, do not hesitate to ask.

A word to the wise: one should use caution when repeating aloud half-remembered words from another life, lest you find you've unexpectedly transported yourself across the city or set something on fire.

Since it's my birthday, I wanted to get myself a little treat. Went to the faire just for some dippin' dots.

Got some extra in the freezer for my new temp roomie and my sister, too!

So I'm not one to broadcast these other memories of mine, largely because they would make any slasher movie you can name look like they were made by Disney. But something has become clear to me recently.

Apparently I am a Nephalem. Which would...explain a few things in that other life of mine, but it also gives me more questions.

Well.

Suffice it to say I am no longer welcomed back to the Staybridge Suites, given that a gigantic glowing suit of armor with a huge sword blew my room up. And the rooms to the sides. Also the room directly above it.

did I summon it? no, that doesn't seem right...

It also decided to add injury to insult. I am completely done with this town and its ridiculous antics today.

There will likely be mention of the injury in the comments, a slice over her eye that leaves behind a scar in her canon

While I've often found American Forth of July celebrations to be... over the top, to put it gently, I'll admit to looking forward to my first Forth of July fireworks show. I've always taken no small amount of pleasure in watching a good fireworks show.

I do wish Temeraire were here to watch them with me. I've known of no one, man or dragon, who enjoys fireworks quite as much as he, and suspect the displays we watched in the early nineteenth century will pale in comparison with tomorrow's show.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the best places to watch?

You're welcome, of course, to make use of the farm if you wish. I will leave some wood at the fire pit if you wish to have a fire, and I can leave a key near the front door if you'd like to go inside. If the last few nights have been any indication, you may still be able to see much of the display with very little of the noise pollution, if you wish.

I suppose with all I've seen in the last few months, the idea that the constant companion I've been missing since February is, in fact, a 20-tonne fighting dragon is not so strange as it might once have been not six months ago.

If I still harboured any doubts on the matter, then the book, Observations on the Order Draconia in Europe with Notes on the Oriental Breeds, that appeared on my coffee table this morning would have dispelled any that remained.

It's strange, in a way, to think of fighting Napoleon's forces from dragonback, but it's stranger still to remind myself that this is a world without dragons.

My mystery gift giver continues to give me oddly specific period items. First, the naval captain's uniform from the turn of the 19th century, and then the Aerial Corps uniform from the same era.

Today I discovered a Gold Medal of the Nile, from actions I'd taken, that I remember taking, during the Battle of the Nile in 1798. It's imprinted with my name and that of my ship, the HMS Goliath. While I'm sure that printing a replica of the medal would be possible, if no small task, I cannot imagine how anyone would know...

But it's impossible for me to have taken part in any such action in the first place. I'm certainly not nearly 250 years old. Thinking too hard on this does my head in.


Moving on to something that is far easier to wrap my head around, I think I've decided to purchase a couple of horses. I don't suppose there's anyone here who has some expertise in the matter; I've ridden before, but never been responsible for acquiring my own horses.

I’ve seen others talk about items on here. It looks like I have gotten one as well. I found this ring on my dresser the other day.

But what makes it even weirder... I’ve been getting headaches when I’m outside lately, but now that I’m wearing this ring they’ve stopped. I mean, it has to be related, right?

Random things I've found recently:

• A nice bit of cash
  
• A key (not sure what it's to but I swore it glowed)
  
• A small booklet of blank paper

Suppose it's better than another phone box sign. Always nice to have a bit of cash and I suppose the blank paper is good if I need to jot down some notes. But I'm really curious about this key. I wonder what it opens. It feels familiar and yet I've never seen it before.

By the by, anyone happen to know anything about heart arrhythmia? Asking for a friend (spoiler: me, the friend is me).

This is my first Easter here in America, and the first one I've ever had to spend alone. I think, perhaps, this might not have been so bad if I don't find myself suddenly remembering a companion of mine, one from whom I was rarely parted. I'm afraid I can't remember much more of him, except that his absence is keenly felt.

I'm thinking that perhaps, I may open my home for Easter dinner for anyone who is feeling similarly lonely or displaced this year, if there are any who wish to not eat alone this weekend.

There's something itching my brain, something telling me I should know what's been going on around here. Or, at the least, that I should be able to figure it out. As if I'm that clever...

All I know is that I'm being haunted or stalked by a blue box. Everywhere I go, just out of the corner of my eye, I swear it's there. But it's just a wardrobe or a rubbish bin or any other ordinary object. Sometimes, I think I hear this god-awful wheezing sound when I catch a glimpse of it.

Now I'm really starting to think I'm going mad.

My mother still can't work out the time difference between here and England. I've been here nearly a decade.

Does the phone always seem so much louder this early in the morning?

Actually, now I think about it, a lot of things have seemed louder recently, and clearer.

That mysterious visitor has continued breaking and entering into people's private spaces and handing out odd gifts.

I find myself in the possession of an incredibly fancy... well it reminds me of a fencing foil, but it's definitely higher class than the practice foils. And I have no idea why there seems to be an area to insert gun cartridges into it.

Having studied fencing before,I have to say that the weight of it feels perfect and familiar in my hand, but I haven't practiced that sport in over a year. Strange.

You know when you walk into your living room and you find some sort of police phone sign laying on your coffee table? I would wonder if I went sleepwalking and stole it, but I've never seen a sign like this before. Are there phone booths for police in the States?

I've come home today to discover that I now have in my possession a British naval captain's uniform from what looks to be the early 1800s. I'm sure it's a replica, of course, and I'm not sure how I knew I'd find the captain's epaulette in the pocket, but I'm afraid I cannot accept this.

If it was someone on this network who gifted it to me, I appreciate the gesture from the bottom of my heart, but it's too grand a gift.

So what's everyone's favorite indie bands? Any genre, I've got my preferences but I'm willing to listen.
