... I really hope someone can explain to me how I wound up clear on the other side of the country, because the last time I checked Los Angeles wasn't nowhere near New York. I'd also really appreciate it if someone could point me to the fastest way to get back to New York. I had ~~a funeral to get to~~ previous engagements that I really can't miss.

Hello, and welcome to an incredibly unique situation. My name is Jason, and I see no one has explained the situation to you yet. As you know, we're in Los Angeles, but whatever Powers That be have played a game of grab bag, snatching people from various universes and leaving them in one I like to call the crazy witch-verse. As such, we don't have any ways back home, except the same whims of those Powers That Be. Also, there are vampires, demons, cultists, and monsters running around, and that's just from this universe, let alone the others. Any questions?

So you're telling me that I'm in some weird place that has vampires, demons, and real monsters?

Look, I've seen a lot and been through a bunch, but even I find that a little hard to believe. As far as the world is concerned, mutants are the only monsters, and I really don't think they'd be giving us such grief if there were real monsters out there.

Besides which, what would these Powers want with me anyway?

	It's very easy to encounter monsters in this city. All you really have to do is be out at night.
