Looks like we're getting close to finished on the medical facility. Now that we got the backhoe, I assume our next order of business is digging a sewer system of some sort? We also have pipes and other supplies for plumbing if anyone has experience with that kind of thing. It would be nice if we could figure out how to rig up some kind of running water.

I think it's important that we keep working together to advance our new society.

I brought up making a waterwheel at the waterfall once. That could pump water.

This is all good news!

The only downside I could see to that is the fact that we're pretty much using the waterfall as a shower. So we'd have to be careful how and exactly where we constructed it. But it definitely is something we should be considering.

We're making progress. I think we should be really proud of ourselves.

Anywhere on the stream would be good since it's moving water.

If we had alcohol I'd say we all deserve a drink.

We just need to get someone to figure out how to build one. Maybe that can be our next big project after we dig for the sewers and pipes.

Maybe the gods will give us a treat for all of our hard work.

Why am I doing this? Find Tony Stark. He can come up with something. Just...ignore his running commentary.

I keep trying to come up with something I wouldn't do for that and I'm drawing a blank.

Okay, well, hopefully he'll see this post and chime in.

That sounds tempting.

He's kind of nosy that way.

I'm familiar with the type.

Then you have everything you need to know about Stark.

I think a water and sewer system is important, but with only one excavator and just a couple of shovels, is it something that we need everyone to work on? Or would some of us just be standing around getting in the way? Maybe we could split into two teams and start on something else as well.

That's a good point. Though once the digging starts, some of us can start laying pipes and whatnot. Maybe? This is far from my area of expertise. I'm hoping that someone else can speak up and offer better suggestions.

I was also thinking the other day that it would be really easy to build stools for people so we don't have to sit on the ground all the time.

It's way outside my area of expertise too, which I guess is why I thought it might be nice to do something else. Although I'm certainly willing and able to help dig a ditch or lay a pipe if someone tells me where.

Now, stools, benches, chairs, that's more in my skill set. That I can definitely do.

So maybe some of us start working on furniture while the others work on digging and plumbing.

Yeah, that could work.

I was thinking some of us could even start working on another structure, but it depends on how many of there are and where we're needed. I do agree that water and sewer is a top priority.

What kind of structure? I think it might be nice to build a community center of sorts. A communal kitchen/dining area type place.

Yeah, kitchen, dining, and multi-use space. You could use it for music and dancing too, or games on rainy days.

It would also be extremely simple to build if we're basically talking about one large room.

I think that would be a great thing to work on. It could also serve as a makeshift shelter if we get another rainstorm and people need a place to stay.

Good point. Sometimes shelters leak, but this would have a sturdier roof. A real roof and real walls, which could come in handy if we every got a worse storm. I mean, my shelter will stand up to some rain, but it might not in a gale.

I think we should build houses eventually, but this would be so simple, it only makes sense to do it first.

Houses are a good long term plan.

Agreed, but since we all have serviceable shelters for now, we can do some of these other things first.

Which is brilliant. I do agree sewer system and a waterwheel of some sort is certainly needed.

Also once people start having children if they want to raise them we might need a place to keep the children while they work too?

[info]optiontoseduce

That's a good point. Of course, it also means that we'll need people willing to look after the kids.

That's true but I'm sure the would be some people who are willing to do so?

I suppose. It's not really my area of expertise.

Mine either honestly. I'm just sure someone would want to do it, right?

I would assume that if people are interesting in raising children, they would be interested in minding them.

Something I am definitely not interested in. If I decide to have children, they will be given to Arva.

That is fair enough. I'd probably do the same.
