This place is...amazing. Almost too good to be true, but then again, paradise, duh, Jo.

I never thought about having kids really. Mostly because I didn't think I would live and I didn't. Yet, I know what this life does to kids. I was one. But this isn't a hunter's life anymore...

Well, we have temporary ones that you can stay in while you figure out how to build or get help building a more permanent one.

To get a temporary shelter there isn't. Someone just needs to show you to a free one. I'm happy to help with that if you need it?

To get a more permanent one you can build it or ask for help building one if you don't know how to. Finnick made a great post for new people that should help explain some things.

You don't have to have kids right away. I mean, you can, but you don't have to if you're not ready. It's totally up to you.

That's fine. There's a lot of other important things that go into building a community. There are a lot of ways to be useful.

There's a bonfire on Saturday that is a good way to get to know people.

Hunting is needed, but not every day. There are several people who hunt and we don't want to overdo it and kill more than we need. Sorry, I don't think there are any working guns. Some people hunt with bow and arrow. I know Sara does that, so maybe she can help if you're interested. I usually stick to fishing rather than hunting since that's what I know best.

There are a lot of other projects going on too. What skills do you have besides hunting?

There's a couple of construction projects going on too, if you're handy with tools, or even if you're not and you want to learn.

Why don't you take a few days to get settled in, maybe build a shelter, and look around and then see which projects you'd like to help with?

Not everyone is ready to have kids yet. I'm not but that's perfectly fine. Like Finnick said, you don't have to right away unless that's what you want.

Did you find a place to stay? There are some temporary shelters for newcomers. If someone hasn't already shown you where they are, I'd be happy to come find you and take you there.

Honestly? I don't think I'm ready for kids. I gave my mom hell most of the time and I don't know how she put up with it. She did always treat me like a child though...even when I was 24. What about you?

That is fair enough. I never wanted children honestly. Do not like them and I doubt I will ever want them. The sex is more than fine with me though.

It's a good perk about the island. You can have sex and not end up with children unless both agree to wanting to be parents.
