WHEN: Tonight.
WHERE: Some random alleyway.
WHAT: After a reasonably successful job, Selina meets a bipedal duck, who just happens to talk too.
STATUS: In Progress.
RATING: PG to PG-13, probably.
NOTE: Sorry for not getting this up sooner. :(
Catwoman was back up to her usual tricks again.
For a couple weeks now, she'd been hitting smaller shops, ones that she knew didn't have high-tech security (i.e. no cameras, complex alarm systems). This meant there wouldn't be as much physical evidence left behind for them to point fingers at her, thankfully. But tonight, she'd decided to be daring and hit something bigger; a penthouse of a wealthy business man, who just happened to out of town.
After she had knocked out a few security cameras and disconnected the alarms, she'd snatched some expensive jewels and small pieces of artwork from a vault. Unfortunately there was no money left lying around.
That was what she had really been after: cold, hard cash. She was running low on funds and needed to replenish them soon, so she could continuing living the lifestyle she had grown accustomed to. She had ambitions to make a real estate purchase in the weeks ahead, so she stop living in a hotel room. Granted, staying at the Sunset Tower could hardly be described as a horrible experience, but it would be nice to have a place to call home for the remainder of her stay--however long that may be.
Dropping down from a rickety fire escape, she landed on all fours in a dirty alley way. It was mercifully empty and she didn't see any sign of the Bat brigade.
Catwoman drew herself up to full height again then, a self-satisfied smirk twisting at her lips. Sure, it hadn't been the big score she had been looking for, but it was a start.
