Who: Molly Walker, Peter Petrelli and Walter Sullivan (maybe?).
What: A hero tries to defeat every child's villain: Nightmares.
When: Now, bedtime.
Where: Molly's room at the Hyperion.
Rating/Warnings: TBD.
Gabriel—the man with the Boogeyman’s face that wasn’t the Boogeyman!—suggested to seek Peter’s help for her Nightmares. Optimistically speaking? Molly should really feel happy that the Nightmare Man himself seemed terrified of this—this thing. So terrified, he left her be. But she wasn’t, because she knew, just like she’s always known, was that monsters always found a way to leave an imprint on her soul. They looked into her soul, even when she told them not to, and tried to eat it—just like the Boogeyman tried to eat her brain.
She wore an overgrown tee shirt a nameless resident leant to her for pajamas as socks. Her light brown locks were straight and only three inches or so above her waste. She stood, cuddling her Carebear tightly to her chest, in the doorway leaving her door ajar so Peter could walk in. She stood there for about five minutes are so, staring at the half opened door, waiting for him to come. Her little heart beat wildly against her ribcage. As her eyes began to sting with dryness, causing her to blink only once; that’s all she’d allow herself. Exhaustion was slowly crawling upon her, sinking into her veins like poison, but every time she felt her legs grow weak or her eyes grow heavy she focused on the door, hell bent on not letting her sleepless nights take victory over her.
Molly swallowed a large lump in her throat, hugging her bear tightly to her even more.
She wasn’t going to sleep without Peter. She saw him save New York City and in consequence, saved her heroes, herself, and the world. He had to save her. He just had to.
