Angela Petrelli had turned off her television and hung up the phone, setting both the phone and remote away from her as she raised her hands and covered her face. Her mask slipped only slightly as she exhaled shakily, steadying her briefly trembling hands before pushing herself to her feet. She had to go and get a plane to Texas. She still had one son, and right now, she needed to be there with him.
The second that she opened the door to step outside of her house, however, Angela found herself somewhere that was...rather obviously not her own doorstep. In fact, it wasn't even the right time of day. Scowling, Angela looked around in the dark, her whole body tensing as fear flooded into her chest, "Maury, this isn't funny," Angela hissed. "Stop it this instant." No response, but it wasn't like she had expected one.
Stripping her coat off, the air suddenly having hiked in temperature by several degrees, Angela around the corner, deeper into the alleyway that she was in. She paused, however, as she came face to face with a young man who looked...well, he seemed to be in about his twenties, leaning back against the wall of the alley.
"Excuse me," Angela called, repressing the disgust that rose in her at being forced to talk to some...street rat, as she raised a hand to catch his attention as she crossed over to him. "Do you think you could tell me where I am?"
"No," He said, turning his attention to her, his face shifting into something much more gruesome as he reached out with lightening fast reflexes, grabbing her neck and pinning her against the wall, "but you just saved me a long night of waiting, Grandma. Wherever you came from."
And just like all of Maury's previous nightmares, his own provoked a scream to rip from the usually composed matriarch's throat.
