Annual Hogsmeade Fall Festival - Day One

Who: Open to All
What: Annual Rummage Sale!
Where: Outside the Hog's Head
When: November 19, all day

Under the tent that has been erected for the occasion lies a large number of items, from clothing on racks to books to knick-knacks and furniture. There is a special section set aside for the items donated by Aberforth Dumbledore, having place of honour among the selection. Among the items donated that used to belong to Albus Dumbledore are:
  • A fine selection of robes and hats in various colours and styles
  • An incredibly large variety of fuzzy socks
  • A bird perch formerly used for Fawkes
  • A trunk filled with mysterious items
  • Many books on charms and potions
  • A silver canister filled with sherbet lemons
  • A portrait of Gellert Grindelwald - very small, about palm-sized

Ernie enjoyed the moment as it was such a rare one, taking in the autumn breeze and busyness that was the rummage sale. He was able to actually take off for lunch today since things were well coordinated and nothing went wrong for now. It had been so long since that was the case.

Going to the festival events had been a tradition since he was a young child, until he went to Hogwarts. He briefly poked around at the various items, looking at the publicized stuff from Dumbledore's collection, to furniture and knick-knacks and books.

He was trying to figure out a puzzle at one of the booths when he looked up,thinking that he heard something.

Angelina was by no means in much of a mood for the festival, but if there was one thing she'd learned over the past half-month was that she wasn't going to let fear take over her life. That meant she had to get out there and live like she'd be living if there wasn't a crazy murderer on the loose. She'd seen the woman's picture in the Prophet, but that hadn't told her anything. She didn't know her face nor her name.

Angie headed into Hogsmeade for the annual rummage sale, not really sure if she was looking for anything in particular or just looking to distract herself. The promise of mysterious items in a trunk was catching her fancy, and though she wasn't much of a reader, she loved charms and thought perhaps a book on them might be useful. Especially if they taught anything that could be used against this witch.

Pausing at the books, Angie looked through them, idly hoping something might strike her fancy. Removing one book form a stack caused a small avalanche - and quite a bit of noise - and Angie grimaced as she bent to pick them back up.

Ernie startled and immediately oriented himself to the sound of the mini-avalanche. He probably didn't need to be that alert or alarmed at that point, but it had been a bit of a trying existance these past few weeks now.

Upon noticing that it was just books that had tumbled onto the ground, Ernie quickly spoke up.
"Oh let me give you a hand," he said, bending to help pick up the books and setting them back on the table. It was only when he had stooped down did he recognize who she was. "Oh--how are you doing, Angelina?" He added upon realizing who it was.
