Who: Agatha Bole & Lee Jordan
What: Drinks at the Leaky
Where: The Leaky Cauldron
When: November 15 - 8pm
Rating: Bad language I assume, but nothing more ;)

Aggie had spent another day of preparation for the search for Greyback. She'd put in a few good words with some old contacts to let her know if they heard of his whereabouts, and had spent a good bit of time chatting with Headmistress McGonagall about the whole deal, as the school was right next to the Forbidden Forest that had once, and may soon again be, the werewolf's haunt of choice.. The prefects would be on high alert, of course, and the school's resources had been offered to Aggie should she have need of them.

She knew she would have to make a trip into the forest sometime soon, but it wasn't a trip made lightly. She wanted her information up to date first, as it was the truly foolish witch who went into the Forbidden Forest unprepared.

Luckily, chance had gifted her with the perfect distraction, preventing her from losing sleep turning the case over and over in her mind. As ever, she dressed to impress, and had garnered a few appreciative looks as she'd entered the Leaky and made her way to the bar to wait for Lee Jordan. She found a stool, crossed her legs, ordered a firewhiskey on the rocks, and did her best to relax.

Inside she made a little cry of victory as she went to retrieve her dart from the board, setting the tiny snitch free to fly again. These Gryffindors were far too easy. She made her way back over to Lee, switched her darts to her left hand and extended the right to him, much as she had when they first met.

"It's a deal, then. You get to go first, if you like."

When she returned to him, hand held out, he took it in an official shake. "Right, now that that's been decided -- and I think I will be taking the first go, novices first and all that."

Taking a dart in hand and looking at the board, he added, "And don't think I'm not well aware of the fact that I just walked into a trap, because I know." On the last word, he turned to give Agatha a mock glare before returning his attention to the board and positioning himself to aim. Honestly, he'd be proud of himself if it even made the board; he had no plans whatsoever on trying to catch a snitch, too. With all that said, theatrics and all, he took his shot. Which was significantly off from the centre, but it was all the board, which was brill in its own way.

Aggie did her best to look innocent. "What trap? We're just two friendly people out for a game of snitches."

She watched him throw the first dart and winced to herself. Perhaps she'd overestimated his abilities after all, but he looked pleased with his efforts. Perhaps she could help him a little.

She moved to stand behind him, and placed her hands on his shoulders to adjust where he stood. "Don't look at your hand, look at the targets. Choose one of the three circles and toss when it feels right. You've plenty of time, so no need to rush."

"Sure we are, absolutely." Lee gave her a slow nod, but didn't look to be believing her. He'd been mates with George too long to fall for anyone's innocent looks just because they denied being guilty.

He didn't really pay too much attention to Agatha's initial reaction to how well - or not depending on which way you really wanted to look at it - his first toss had gone. Lee supposed his competitive streak didn't really go very deep. (Not if he was actually involved, at least. Cheering from the sidelines and badmouthing other teams was completely different.)

"I warrant tips, then?" He asked, not offended in the least. "Didn't think I was that bad. Or maybe," he gave her a brief look over his shoulder, "I am playing my own game and fooling you all... hustler-like. I'm a brilliant actor, you know."

Even still, he took her tips into account; he didn't want to lose too badly after all.

"I'm sure you've won awards for your acting ability," she teased.

Having remained in position behind him, she slid one of her hands along his arm, positioning it to make his next shot.

"Perhaps I simply enjoy a fair competition. Or perhaps I've other motives you have yet to discover."

Grasping his hand in hers, she shot the dart for him, watching as it hit a snitch but an inch away from one of the targets. "See? You're getting better already."

"I sense a tone in that, one that I'm not quite sure I like," Lee replied, though he wasn't actually bothered. There wasn't too many things that could bother Lee on a regular day-to-day basis.

"Motives I haven't discovered yet, yeah? Do I at least get to know now whether I'd like these motives when I do?" He did his best to keep his eyes on the target as he'd been instructed, even while grinning widely.

"I think my progress is miraculous. Inspirational, even."

"I don't know, perhaps my motives might be right up your alley," she replied with a grin.

She patted his shoulder and took a few steps back, giving him more than enough room to make the next shot on his own - and giving her an excellent view of his backside. Yes, Aggie always had a motive for everything she did.

"Go ahead, without my help this time. Let's see how good a teacher I am."

"Guess I'll look forward to finding out if they do, then." And it would be extremely lovely if they in fact were very much up his alley, which he suspected there happened to be a very good chance that they definitely would be in all actuality. That was promising. Very promising.

Even as he kept his eyes on the board, a new dart in hand, he said, "I wouldn't be too disappointed if this next shot turns out to be complete rubbish. I might just be incredibly awful at this."

Despite that claim, however, he did his best to follow her previous lesson to the best of his ability, and when he finally took the shot it at least made it actually hit close to the centre if not dead on. "On a scale a one to ten, what would you say?" he asked as he turned to face her with a wide grin.

She grinned back, pleased to see how happy he was to have hit the board well. Next to the board, a slate of black wrote upon iself his score.

"I'd say a 7, and learning quite quickly."

She accio'd his darts and handed them to him, then with barely any preparation time, she threw her darts one by one, each snagging a snitch close to the targets.

"Though I do hope you won't quit your day job," she teased, then leaned up to give him a quick kiss on the cheek before retrieving her own darts.

"I can be very quick on the uptake," Lee replied. His tone could have been smug if he'd actually meant the statement in any sort of serious capacity, but it was more a joke and an obvious one at that.

He took his darts and watched as she made her shots, not at all feeling awkward about the fact that her shots were better than his. She actually needed her reflexes on a day-to-day basis, after all.

The kiss - even if only on the cheek - was a surprise. A welcome one overall considering his eventual plans to ask her out for a legit evening of the non-platonic kind that, and he kept an amused curve to his lips as he watched her retrieve her darts. "And deprive the world of the chance of hearing my deep and incredibly sexy voice on the air on an... almost regular basis?" He still had hopes for his own show within the next year, though (provided he didn't die, but he'd been ignoring that regularly for a reason). "Never."
