Their own brand of therapy
Characters: Angie & Ally
Setting: Sunday November 2nd at around 7 pm,at Angie's home in Wales
Summary: Alicia needs company and to take her mind off her nightmares. Angelina to the rescue! Also, whiskey
Rating: Worksafe I expect.

Angie was doing her best not to show it but she was concerned about Alicia. She didn't like the fact that one of her best friends was having torturous, recurring nightmares, especially in the wake of two recent deaths - no, make that three now - one of which was a good friend. Harry's funeral was the every next day, and Angie thought it was probably best for both herself and Ally to have some company.

The heat had come on in Angie's apartment only the week before and as it frequently was the first few weeks, it was on the warm side. That explained why Angie was already in her pajamas, a simple tank top and boyshorts as she waited for Ally to arrive. Angie had supplies ready: alcohol, chocolate, actual food - ordered in - and an assortment of muggle movies to watch. All she needed now was Alicia.

Ally nodded and sipped from her drink.

"All right, no ads, no bars. Who knows, maybe we'll find someone at tomorrow's pick-up game. Stranger things have happened."

She grinned first at Angie, then the tv. "And if all else fails, we still have Joe for eye-candy... and Justin for itch-scratching."

Angie nodded. "Maybe. Though I expect the players at least will be ones we're pretty familiar with. Maybe there's be some lookers being spectators. Wonder if Lee with commentate. That'll really bring us back home, yeah?" Poor Lee. He'd done his best to get a date with Angie back in school but she hadn't been interested.

Angie rolled her eyes at that and poked Ally with her elbow. "And how often have you dropped in on Justin to have an itch scratched?"

"I would be so brilliant to see Lee again," Ally sighed. "This is so long overdue. It's just such a shame we had to wait for an occasion like this to do it."

She lifted her glass and sent a thought out to Harry before drinking.

"Oi, watch that elbow," she teased. "So I've visited him, and had him over, a good handful of times. The boy's good, and a girl has needs." Especially after a night of dancing naked in front of a room full of ogling, appreciative eyes. Most of the other girls were lucky enough to have a boyfriend or girlfriend to help them expend any excess energy.

"It's just till I find my 'decent human being', though."

"Next time we shouldn't wait. I'd just been talking to Roger about having a pick-up game sometime soon. We should do it every few months, especially during the off season, you know? Maybe not at Hogwarts because that'd be a bit difficult, but I'd expect we could always borrow a pitch that's not being used that day."

Angie actually giggled, though she'd deny that word. "Sounds like you, ah, enjoy his company. Justin's view of life seems so uncomplicated, you know? Sometimes I wish I could look at things that way - just love the one your with sort of thing I guess, but I guess I'm more a girl than I thought. An actual relationship means a lot to me and I'll kill you if you tell my mum that. She's still waiting for me to drop quidditch and get married, give her a grandchild before I get too distracted or sommat."

Before she could run off further with that idea, Angie had another drink and then suddenly said, "Oi, all this drinking not nearly enough snacking. I've got some sweets about her. You know those dark chocolate cakes with the raspberry? I've got a few of those, if you'd like?"

"Worse come worse, we find an empty field and spell the area to repel Muggles or something," Ally agreed.

"There are times when I think it sure would be simply to see things as he does. Fun, uncomplicated... but yeah, I don't know if it's being girly or romantic or something, but, I'd like to fall in love some day. With someone who isn't in love with quidditch, that is," she added with a laugh.

"Yes, that's exactly what we need! Chocolate... Merline, Ang, will you marry me? You know exactly what I like!" she teased.

"Yeah that'd work," Angie mused. They'd have to put up the goals, but that wasn't too big a deal. She'd do it if she meant a match.

"That's it exactly," she replied coming back with the cakes in question, her eyes straying back to the screen as the Indian family argued, slipping in and out of English as they did.

"You sure you want to marry me? I am pretty in love with Quidditch," she teased. She handed Alicia a cake on a plate and pushed the raspberry sauce at her. She always asked for it on the side, because she herself used it so sparingly. She didn't have much of a sweet tooth; she liked her chocolate like her tea, black and not sweet.

Ally's eyes widened greedily and she grabbed up the sauce, pouring it liberally on the piece of cake - leaveing plenty left for Angie, of course.

"As long as you've time to please me, dear, you can play quidditch to your heart's content," she teased back. "Now give me this cake."

She used her fork to take up a piece and brought it to her lips, groaning as she tasted it. "Oh, this is soooooo good. Almost worth giving up sex for."

A pause. "Almost."

Angie had to laugh at Ally's expression. She looked like a child, maybe the 11-year old ickle firstie she'd been (all right, they'd both been) when they met back in Hogwarts first year. Her excitement and enthusiasm over something as simple as cake made Angie impulsively lean over to hug her. It was a relief, seeing her look that, well, carefree, even if it was only for a moment.

Her assessment of the cake was spot on though. Angie hummed around her own piece, the dark chocolate causing little explosions of happy along her taste buds. "Mmm, yeah only almost. If I could have both in one go though, I could die happy."

On screen romantic tension bloomed, but Angie ignored it in favor of her cake.
