So, as per Vae and general consensus:

We're declaring the game open for people to play amongst themselves if they want, but we're going to hold off on the group thread/official restart until Tuesday.

Okay! We have enough players to revive (though do feel free to advertise us to others that you feel would be interested in joining us), we have an agreement that we've had a gap of about 7 months since the last posts in the comm, bringing us back into line with the calendar for months at least, and giving Corvallis an approach to Christmas to play with.

SO.

What's happened with your characters since April? What's happened to the place they live and the people they love? What do you want to have happened to the town?

And when do you want to start play again?

So apparently I'm going to keep going on holidays right when something happens here! Damnit. Anyway, on Monday I'm leaving for a week's holiday down South, so I won't be around to tag at all. If anyone wants any of my characters in the warehouse-building thread, let me know and we can backdate when I get back?

FYI

Presuming my car gets fixed tomorrow (of which there is no guarantee), I'll be gone again this weekend. Leaving some time Saturday, coming back Sunday evening.

So! In the interest of giving people even more plot hooks, feel free to use this post to mention anything your characters have done for the community to help them get through the flood and its aftermath.

For example, the boarding house would have opened its unoccupied rooms to any and all who needed them. Harry (and any others who wanted to) would have rationed his remaining food stock but then given it out for free (probably every couple of days).

Hello all,

As most if not all of you know, I'm gonna be gone on holidays/spending time with hubby for a good week, probably up to 10 days. Soooo, since plot just hit, I thought I'd give you all a heads-up on what my characters will be doing even though I won't be around to thread them for a bit.

Benjamin is obviously tending to people, what else is he going to do. If he has any spare time (unlikely), he'll help people out with manual work. Charlie is, much to my surprise, doing just that, helping people with trying to save their stuff and rebuild their homes and what-not. Starting with the boarding house if it got hit bad. Noah's with Alita, obviously, and Ryan will be helping out any way he can - anyone who'll accept his help, that is. Which means that yes, he's back out and about in town and terrified about that but trying not to be too PTSD.

That's it for me! Hope you all have lots of fun with the plot in my absence and we can backdate stuff if you want when I'm back. Don't hesitate to ask! I've missed this game, damnit.

We're well aware things have been a bit quiet around here and we haven't been jumping on people about lack of activity as much as we should. With the spring equinox coming up, though, it's time for a bit of a spring clean!

All activity records are now CLEARED - no one is mod-defined sick or dead (except those previously arrested or dead) since the last notice. Activity checks will resume from March 21st and activity will now be required from each character at least once a month, rather than once a fortnight. (Rules will be updated to reflect this in the near future.)

The character cap remains in place.

Please comment to let us know that you've read this, give us your list of the characters you have that you consider to be active, and keep an eye out for plot arriving on March 20th!

John's going to be going away for about 10 days/2 weeks. *I* am not going anywhere, but it's a character thing (still loud, he just needs out of dodge for a bit). In favor of not having him end up dead, I'm going to put him on hiatus. Pleas eknow, though, that I'm still around ;-)

I'm really sorry, but can I put all my guys on hiatus? The muses just haven't been biting and/or are hiding from me in the face of new, loud ones elsewhere, and it's about time I manned up to that. I'd really like the option to bring them back in at some point if at all possible? I know that's more than a bit of a cheek, so I understand if not. Obviously, I'd ask before I did so if it was okay. Meanwhile, assume they're all still there and about, if that's ok with modfolk? ie Aiden still has his shop, Ivory/Jessy's still at the cathouse, and Jimmy can be at the ranch, if Alita wants him??

Again, sorry, but until they talk to me louder, I don't think it's fair to other people here to try to thread with them.

Hi guys! I got the new character itch. all_the_news is Adelaide Kelly, newspaper woman extraordinaire. She's been in Corvallis for about ten years and has been running the Daily Gazette on her own for about seven of them. (Her brother decided that frontier life wasn't for him). She also does some other printing jobs on the side.

Adelaide is often brash and forward, especially if it gets her the news. However, she's also respectful of things told to her "off the record" and isn't a gossip. If you want to gossip at her, she's all for it; just don't expect her to pass along the news unless she's had it confirmed.

As most of you know, I'll be leaving Friday for merry ol' England! Eeeeeeee!!. I will be mostly offline -- I'm not taking the laptop but I will have a native guide and my phone in case of emergencies. I'll be gone until Monday, Feb. 8. (Well, practically, probably through Tuesday or Wednesday, as my flight gets back to Pittsburgh at 10:30pm).

Anyway! Mods, please count my characters as on hiatus starting Wednesday.

I have been notified that Jack West is on hiatus, we will review this again at the beginning of February.

We've all had holiday seasons, bit of time offline, maybe winter colds (wrap up warm and get better) and we've had a bit of a flag in activity here, which your mods have let slide because December's busy family time. Now, it's January, it's a new year, and time to get playing again!

We've agreed on a reset for the start of the year. Any character not active between Jan 1 and Jan 14th without the player notifying the mods will be posted in a list on Jan 15th as having the flu. Any character not active between Jan 1 and Jan 28th will be declared to have died of flu.

So get playing before the flu sweeps the town!

Hi all! At some point this afternoon, I'll put up the Christmas eve thread at the boarding house. Open to all! I'll be heading home for the holiday, (Wed-Mon) so pretend Liz is floating around doing her being her best hostessy hostess.

Hi guys!

I have not been around too much for the last few weeks because, after the whole whirlwind around Europe, getting back has involved a lot of trying to resettle and get things to do with Europe sorted out. And it has eaten up all my time. The jetlag's also pushed some buttons or something because I'm mentally all over the place.

That being said, I'm headed off to the beach with some people for the weekend, which will hopefully help with knocking my head back from wherever it is and settling me back down some more. When I get back, I will get right back to posting and tagging as usual. Sorry that I've been so terribly slow with everything, guys, and thanks for bearing with me.

Apparently, the boarding house opens its doors to all comers for a party after services on Christmas Eve. Liz seems to feel it's a traditional happening, so feel free to mention it or have your characters planning to attend -- or not!
