*while eating lunch (grilled cheese), leans over to grab her milk and inadvertantly presses against the remote, changing the channel from her favorite show (Drew's Clues) to the twelve o'clock news* *watches in horror as they play and replay the footage of the Gondolin attack, burning buildings and roaring water and a flying machine going down in flames*
*lets out and ear-piercing shriek and, when Hildie comes to see what the matter is, hits her upside the head with her lunch tray, knocking her unconscious*
*leaves the house quickly, walking far from home, constantly looking around her for the attack she knows is coming* |
