*is told by his P.A. that he is on the phone* *takes a seat and begins flipping through the papers to find out what he's getting when Turgon kicks the bucket pass the time*
To Ecthelion, Lord of the House of the Fountain, I give, devise, and bequeth the property and land herein referred to as "GONDOLIN" and bestow upon him the title "KING OF GONDOLIN". It is my express wish that the city be maintained in the same manner in which it was developed.
I appoint Ecthelion as executor of this will, and as trustee of the disbursement of the remainder of my estate as instructed within this document. Each person listed below is to receive a yearly stipend for their care and support to equal no less than the amounts listed...

*leaves Gil-galad to his own devices once they arrive at the train station in Gondolin, promising to meet up with him later*
*asks directions to the House of the Fountain and enjoys the long walk over to that area of the city, enjoying all the unfamiliar sights on her way*
*is fully prepared to knock on the front door and so is quite surprised when she arrives to find people everywhere on the grounds, milling about and talking busily or rushing this way and that*
*wanders in to what is clearly a reception area and only then notices that everyone is greeting her with friendly formality (and "My Lady" and "Your Highness") even as they hurry on their way* *has never in her lives been recognized by this many people*
*also observes that no one is greeting her as the Lady of the House, by which she can't help but feel relieved*
*asks after Ecthelion and is promptly given a very deferential escort to show her the way* |
