Patrick stood in the back, watching the band start their first song. It wasn't unusual to find him there. By now, he knew a lot of the staff by name. Although, Kat should have been there. She definitely would have made things more interesting. Toward the back, the lights were so dim that he could barely see anything to the sides of him.
As the first song finished and the lights brightened a bit, he noticed a growing crowed around the pool table.
This is perfect. People were obviously taking bets on whoever was playing and Patrick definitely wasn't one to shy away from betting.
