Hello Ladies and Gentlemen- Arkady Stone here. Most of you will know me as being an Assistant Choreographer in the 70's and 80's (and if you were around then, and remember it all good for you!) and a Choreographer now since 2005 after taking time off to be a full time Dad. I'm currently working on Guys and Dolls and live here in the city with my husband, Tobias Stone. I'm originally from Russia, which is why I have a "funny accent" as some of you younger people have been claiming. I would love to talk to anyone who wished to talk to me.

"Next to Mika"
Mikaela Travers has been a Broadway darling for years. She started young, playing Young Cosette in Les Miserables in 1995, followed by Marta in The Sound of Music in 1997 and Bet in Oliver! in 1999. Mikaela made a splash in the wildly successful, dramatic musical Spring Awakening, where she played Isle. Now, she's just finishing up her risque role in the revival of the play Equus, and she is set to start rehearsals for the new Broadway musical Next to Normal, opening in April, where she will play troubled teen, Natalie. It is Mikaela’s turn to be in our Spotlight, and she is ready to answer any and all of your questions!

"Luck Be Stella"
Making her Broadway debut in the highly anticipated Guys and Dolls as soprano Sarah Brown, Stella Ellisson is no stranger to the stage. Her last name might sound familiar, but she has been making a name of her own. Stella built up her resume working on the Wicked national tour for two years before graduating to the green witch’s standby in the LA production. It was not long before this talent was promoted to the full-time Elphaba on the west coast. As she prepares for her big east coast debut, Stella is taking a turn in our Spotlight to answer your questions.

"Belle of Broadway"
MJ Belle is one of Broadway’s most well-known and talented divas. The Tony winning actress has proven her acting chops in soap operas, in Days of Our Lives, and her singing chops with her four solo albums. Ms. Belle has been a staple in the Broadway community since she made her debut in Joeseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 1996. Since then, she has graced the Broadway stage in shows like The Wiz, Beauty and the Beast, Passion, Ain’t Misbehavin, Ragtime, and Once on this Island, as well as limited runs in Broadway staples Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera. And now, this leading lady has brought Cole Porter’s classic Kiss Me Kate back to Broadway. She is ready to answer your questions!

joe is a phantom |
[11 Feb 2009|06:51am] |
Trying to explain the concept of who exactly the Phantom of the Opera is to an elderly Slovak woman with less than perfect English is a very difficult feat. And that's what I spent my day learning. Usually my mother will just sit in the audience and smile and nod towards me but, despite the fact that she first saw it five years ago, she chose today to quiz me on the emotional state of my current character. Dear old Mom. She's coming up to visit soon - Kathie, she's demanding you come out for lunch with us, just as a head's up.
Anyway. Introductions. Well, my name's Joe, and I'm currently playing the role of the Phantom, if I hadn't already made that clear. I'm sure I'll know a few of you since the world of Broadway is a small one and our paths are bound to have crossed at some point. I've been performing since 1993 and have loved every second of it so far, even if I had to work in crappy fast food joints to pay my rent for the first several years. I can't ever look at KFC in the same way.
What did everyone get up to tonight?

Well, hi! I just got back after tonight's performance and I'm EXHAUSTED, but I'm going to try and throw up an introduction none the less. Don't you all feel special now? Anyway, yeah! Hi. I'm Juliet, former Wicked ensemble, current Lisa in Mamma Mia!, future Elphaba (just watch me). I've been dancing since forever, and singing/acting since I was a teenager. Broadway is my life! Haha, I imagine it's the lives of a lot of you, too!
So yeah, okay, I'm going to go and have a bath now. Night everyone!
