Todoroki may have been in Preya for less than a month, but it seemed no less troublesome than back home had. It was exhausting, and Todoroki found himself thinking about everything way too much here. It had been nearly a week since he was back to normal, but maybe he was suffering from some kind of lingering stress because when his alarm went off that morning, he started straight into autopilot.
After his usual trip to the bathroom, he returned to his room with a glass of water, having finished it right after entering the room and setting the dish aside. Rubbing a hand over his face he made to pull out his uniform from the closet and his belt from the edge of the desk. Getting ready was usually brainless work, and he was confident enough that once he grabbed something to eat and made his way to the bus stop with the other boy, he'd be awake enough to actually eat his breakfast. It was always a good way to ensure there wasn't any sort of awkward silence for the ride most mornings, even if he never minded when Bakugo wanted to talk. He just hadn't come to expect it.
He made a plan to grab something on the way out, but the first order of business was to make sure Bakugo was up as dressed as usual. The other boy usually was, but Todoroki didn't want to take chances. He would be the one frowned upon if he couldn't take care of just making sure his classmate hadn't missed the bus. Again, he wandered out into the hall with his bag in hand, wandering to where he knew the other boy's room was. He somewhat blearily looked at the number by the door just to be sure before lifting his hand to knock. It was quiet. Was it always quiet? He supposed he could have already left. He closed his eyes and resisted leaning against the wall... or door... or anything really.
"Bakugo. It's time for class. Let's go."
