We. It wasn't exactly the sort of word that should actually hold any weight to it. Yet, with Bakugo, being lumped together seemed like a huge deal. The world was his rival, in a way, he was worse than Todoroki's own father. Yet, he couldn't deny the appeal of that fierce determination. His father was obsessive in his ways, but Bakugo was different. It felt different, watching him prance around declaring he was going to be the best. It made him want to know his reasons, his real reasons. They all wanted to be heroes, but why did Bakugo specifically? He would have never thought they'd have anything in common, but maybe they actually did. "They aren't so bad, you know."
His eyes squinted slightly as he raised a brow at Bakugo's huff. It probably could have been funny. It probably was funny to anyone else that might happen upon the whole situation. Bakugo not denying it did say wonders, even if it would probably take Todoroki laying in bed later pondering about it to figure it out. There were more pressing matters at the moment.
The accusation, was it really an accusation, gave Todoroki pause, his eyes blinking once, twice before it really sunk in. "I didn't." There seemed no point to lie about it now. Of course, Bakugo didn't seem ready to stop. His teasing rarely landed on Todoroki, but as he moved, that attention seemed to zero in on him like a laser. He felt more caught in the face of Bakugo's smirk now than he ever had when the other boy grabbed his shirt to force his attention on him. Did he actually miss him being in his bed? Was the actual insinuation there or was Todoroki just imagining it?
He suddenly felt a familiar warm lick just under his skin, his quirk, the sort of thing that would normally happen under his control to keep himself from getting too cold. A part of him wanted to just put a good bit of distance between himself and Bakugo. Instead, he just rolled himself back onto his back and stared at Bakugo's ceiling for a moment before closing his eyes. "Go to sleep, you're more tolerable that way." Being flustered wasn't something even remotely like what Todoroki was used to. Sure, his sister cooed at him plenty and his older brother attempted to tease him, but hadn't known him well enough to do so effectively.
It seemed just as likely that it was something Bakugo was doing instead of Todoroki himself. Maybe he was going to finally take a turn of trying to blow him up outside of competition now because he was aware that Todoroki actually did miss him, maybe. Maybe.
