RP: Wake for John and Savannah
Who: Everyone at the base
Where: 114 Sterling Drive
When: November 3, 2012
Summary: Brian does his best to send off two people everyone loved.

The email about housing had given him the idea. Brian had asked Derek to leave the extra couch set in his old house. A dining set from Deeks was brought over as well as extra chairs from Nell's. A chair was being used to set up the computer with the light program. The lights had been brought over from the lounge and the dining room had been turned into a club. Brian didn't know if people would use it, didn't care, but there should have been music and lights. John and Savannah hadn't been musicians, but they had contributed just as much to the club, in all of its versions.

The sitting room had been turned into a fairy land. Brian hadn't had much time, only a day, so he'd resorted to fabric and wall decorations used for nurseries. There wasn't as much pink as he'd have used for Savannah alone, but there was the Magic castle and princes and princesses spread all around. The food and drinks were on the table. Brian hadn't bothered asking people for things, but had ordered from different places creating the weirdest combination of foods, but he'd tried to hit everything either Savannah or John liked (not that John was picky, but then there were things that Brian had enjoyed watching John eat).

With everything set up, Brian could finally sit down on the steps staring his own private party. If he were lucky, his liver would give out before he could sober up.

"She would," Jenna said. "Kinney always pulls it off. I think that's one of the reasons he and Savannah get - got along, she gave him plenty of chances to shine."

"You'll let me know if you need help, won't you?" Not that she thought he would, but she could at least remind him that he could. That he should. "You need rest too, Dad."

Sam looked at Kinney once again. "I don't think he'll be pulling anything off for a while." He'd have to speak to Sean about him. They spent a lot of time together and someone needed to take care of him too. They were a team, even when Sam didn't like people.

"There hasn't been much to do other than talk to people. Dinner tomorrow, though. If you could take over for now. I doubt G or Deeks are in any state to help and your brother still has problem with his hand." He smiled. "We haven't have to worry about food for a while." Savannah had taken over as soon as she was medically able to do it.

Following her father's gaze she looked at Brian, smoking and drinking on the steps. However strange that relationship had seemed at first glance, John had meant the world to Brian and vice versa. "Yeah, we need to look out for him too."

Jenna nodded. It was something to focus on, something concrete she could do to help. "Of course I can," she said. "Don't worry about food, that's easy." It was everything else that wasn't.

"I doubt he'll take my help and there's so much turning a blind eye that I can do. Weed is not exactly standard drug consumption in a military base, or in a house with kids and a pregnant woman." Not that he was telling Kinney to stop. People could do what they wanted.

Sam nodded. "Okay, good. You saw Morgan's email. Is Dom okay with taking over Savannah's duties with the kids?" Not that they really had a choice. They were down to five parents and all of them had to pull together here. It wasn't about the agency either. It was about family.

"Perhaps not, but he has friends here. They'll help - or try to at least. The question is if he'll let them." She wasn't exactly happy about the weed herself, not with Blaze here, but if - when - it got too bad they could and would take Blaze outside.

"He hasn't really said anything about it. He'll do what is necessary." He'd hate it, she knew that much, but then she still thought it was good for him. Not that she'd voice that aloud. "We have to help each other out." Cooking wasn't her favorite past time, but she wouldn't hesitate in doing it when needed.

"Does he?" Sam had no idea who his friends were. He knew Kinney trusted John, but other than that, he had no idea who Kinney considered a friend. "I'll keep an eye on him, though." Not that his interest would be well taken.

Sam nodded. "I know. We all do." It's not like they had a choice. "At least we have this crazy family." Others weren't as lucky. He knew that, but they had fought for their family. He couldn't do it for the others. They'd have to find their own ways.

"he's been a part of that group since the ranch, I can't see them abandoning him when he needs them," she said, though she did make a note of keeping an eye out to make sure she was right too. She shook her head. "You have enough on your plate, dad," she said. "I'll do it." She didn't think it would be received any better coming from him, but Dad had G and Marty to think of, and himself - once he allowed himself the luxury.

She nodded. "We do have that, mostly because of Savannah." She gave him a small smile. "She'd be happy that we have each other." That was one thing they could be sure of.

"He was there since the club here, but are they his friends?" He knew that plenty of people had had dinner with them, but that didn't mean that G considered them friends, and while Kinney wasn't G, he didn't see the man being friends with many. "I won't stop you, although I don't know how well it would go. With anyone."

Sam was grateful for this family. Whether it was Savannah's doing or each of them had put a little into it, it didn't matter. "We do, and that means a few more people I need to talk to. I'll be around if you need me, okay?"

"I don't know if he considers them friends, but I do believe, or maybe I just hope, that they consider him one." Everyone needed friends, especially when they had lost someone so dear. She nodded. "I don't expect it going well, but the least I can do is try."

"Could you imagine Savannah's reaction if none of us did? She'd be so disappointed in all of us."

She nodded. "Yeah, go talk to them, and that goes both way, Dad."
