Hi! Hi, hi, hi! :D My name is Cate, I'm new here, and I already have three characters. Don't judge me. It was out of my control.
Charlie Fitzsimons: bitingbullets: 21 years old. 4th year. Offensive. The Addict Archetype. Charlie is reckless, impulsive, and insensitive. She's obsessive about her interests, has horrific time management skills, and copes with stress and problems through highly unhealthy means -- see: coping with insomnia by drinking excessive amounts of caffeine, dealing with stress by chain smoking, binge drinking, and having sex with whoever happens to be around. She's unpredictable and very flighty, her interest often hopping from one thing to the next. She has a problem with authority figures and favors the deviant as opposed to the law abiding. She absolutely cannot stand being bored and will go through great lengths to make sure she is entertained which often leads her down bad paths and into sketchy situations. She's a bit of an adrenaline junkie and will do anything to maintain that high that comes with rushing into danger or breaking the rules or whatever happens to be up for grabs. She comes across as very cocky and self assured, quick to argue her point and dismiss others. She's a bit of an idiot socially which is made worse thanks to how blunt she is and how many bad habits she has. It also doesn't help that for her friendship often translates into being physical with a person. Her best mate is Liam Cokely so that's about the only loyalty she has since she finds it difficult to actually form meaningful connects with people because she finds emotions tiresome.
Jonathan Warrington: wordjumbler: 18. 1st year. Healing. The Garrulous Archetype. Jonathan is Meredith's youngest sibling. He spent the last ten years thinking she was dead thanks to their parents who used her disappearance as a means to preach the horrors of this world and how sin could lead you down dark paths, etc. etc. Obvs, he was raised in a super religious household .. in a super religious small town which made him being gay like so much fun. Not. Jonathan spent his entire youth learning how to deflect questions and talk around serious things so as not have to deal with his sister's absence and later to avoid suspicions of his sexuality being bandied about. Before he left, he was in a relationship with another boy at his school but when said boy's father found out he beat the shit out of Jonathan and set his son straight and their parents covered it up. Naturally Jonathan was heartbroken when his ex decided to write him off entirely and place all the blame on him, saying it was all Jonathan's pursuit that led to this, etc. etc. , he meant nothing, etc. etc. And then rumors started going about him being gay and life got madd uncomfortable and then the recruiters came all like "Wanna come with us?" and he was all "Hellllls yeah." So he's here, adjusting to the fact that his sister is alive and trying to figure out how safe it is here to be himself. Mostly by talking endlessly about trivial things in the hopes of getting someone to say something. He's very charming and personable so he should be able to make friends easy. He's also incredibly sweet and kind, to the point that he's a bit of a push over because he just want people to be happy and not look at him too closely.
Finneus Clarkson: booksnob: 28. Etiquette TA. Specializes in Spirit. The Critic Archetype. Finn is the younger brother of Julianne Clarkson and older brother/technically uncle of Liv Clarkson. He's a bit ... difficult, obviously. He's very much an intellectual, preferring the world of academia over most other things. He's very organized and diligent in everything he does, analyzing anything and everything to death in order to be absolutely certain he is making the correct decision or coming to the 'correct' conclusion. He comes off as a very snobby, unbearable sort of person most of the time because he's not very charming and when he does engage in conversation it's usually to correct someone, lecture about something, or inform someone of why they are wrong to enjoy something. He tends to think of himself as a realist, but he does pick a lot of things apart and spends most of his time ignoring the feelings of other in favor of telling it like it is and letting the chips fall where they may. He's not outright mean, because he does have a good heart, he's just seriously bad at social interactions and doesn't get that he's offensive a good deal of the time.
So! Those are my bbs. I love them. You should love them too! So, you know, plotty plotness? Friends, enemies, exes, future things? Charlie could do with her fair share of people to entertain her. Jonathan needs buddies. And Finn is probably already making students lives hell with how specific he is, even if he is only a TA. Shhhhh.
