Who: Val (Narrative + OPEN to anyone who wants)
What: An accident
Where: Val's house
When: Friday, Sept 3
Warnings: Some unpleasant imagery?
Valentine knew that her husband was a man's man--that much was undeniable. He worked, he toiled, he killed boars. And it didn't matter if he could be a very pretty elf at times. He was still quite manly. However, Val didn't look at his surplus manliness and her surplus girliness (see: her vast collection of preserves) as any reason why she couldn't do work around her house, so when a large tuft of palm leaves fell onto her roof, she didn't see any good reason to wait for him to get home.
The triplets were not due to finish their nap for a good half hour, and the interior of the house was spotless. With time on her hands, she went outside, got a ladder and headed up to the roof for the quick work of clearing out the leafy eyesore. She was halfway done hefting the leaves over the side of the roof when something caught her ear.
Was it music? It almost sounded like a song. She dropped what she was doing, straining to hear it. She was overcome with the need to find the source of the sound so she stepped across the roof, stopping now and then to close her eyes and listen. Yes, it was a song--one that was oddly familiar. Eyes squeezed shut, she could almost make out words. Just one step more and--
She stepped clean off the opposite side of the roof from the ladder. She fell fast, head slapping against a piece of concrete patio. Black ichor oozed out.
Summary: Val is doing busywork on her roof when she hears something odd and beautiful.
